At Times The Ungodly, Have More Faith Than The Godly

1Sa 6:3  And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

Gill;

1 Samuel 6:3
And they said, if ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty,.... As they perceived they had either resolved upon, or at least were inclined to do; and which they also thought advisable and therefore would have them by no means send it away as it was, but with some presents along with it; for the meaning of this word "empty" is not that they should take care that all that were in it when taken should go with it, and nothing be taken out of it, or it be stripped of its contents; but that some gifts and offerings should be sent along with it: perhaps they might have some notion of, or respect unto a law in Israel, Exo_23:15 or might say this from a common principle received among Heathens, that deities were to be appeased by gifts (e):

but in any wise return him a trespass offering; here again they seem to have some notion of the sorts and kinds of sacrifice among the Israelites; and advise to a trespass offering, to make satisfaction and atonement for the offence they had committed in taking away the ark; and that they should make restoration not only by returning the ark, but by sending an expiatory offering along with it:

then ye shall be healed; of the disease with which they were smitten; for it seems it still continued on them, at least on many:

and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you; which was because the ark was detained by them; but when that should be sent home, and they be healed upon it, then it would be a plain case that the reason why the disease was inflicted and continued was because of that.

(e) "Munera crede mihi", &c. Ovid. de arte amandi, l. 3.

Geneva;

(b) The idolaters confess there is a true God, who punishes sin justly.

JFB;

1 Samuel 6:2-3

the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners — The designed restoration of the ark was not, it seems, universally approved of, and many doubts were expressed whether the prevailing pestilence was really a judgment of Heaven. The priests and diviners united all parties by recommending a course which would enable them easily to discriminate the true character of the calamities, and at the same time to propitiate the incensed Deity for any acts of disrespect which might have been shown to His ark.

The text teaches us all a lot. First, if God be God serve him, if Baal be Baal serve him, a man cannot serve God and mammon, (money) the lord will make it plain, after an act to rectify a matter, of him, or self, or circumstances. The lord is lord of all, he requires holiness, repentance, he is holy and we are to be holy. All must be in daily repentance to secure his eternal salvation; we must strive lawfully as the N.T. says. We are also to strive to enter in by the narrow gate, Fan into a flame our spiritual deadness , as Paul told Timothy, we have a part and the bible is filled with many promises, with a conditional clause word IF before , or after, we are to control out tongue, control our actions, control our prophet utterance, Corthinth was in 1 cor 14 , the spirit of the prophets are subject to the prophets, we are given a spirit of self-control.

We are free by the blood, it is a free gift, salvation is free, and not by works, but discipleship will cost you everything and is a long life test until we reach our true home with the lord.

Taste not, touch no unclean thing, come out, be separate, than I will be your God, there is no other way, we must die daily, be renewed daily. No person can live on yesterdays blessing, or forgiveness, as we need it everyday, as we live a humble life of self-examination to see if we are in the faith.

Holy fire from heaven still falls, in a good sense to those who are his, and a bad sense to those who are in sin, we may not see it with the naked eye, but the fire remains, we serve a lord that is a consuming fire.

Let us be more than a Pharisee, for unless our righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees, we are in need of a heart transplant. These unholy ones, spoken in the text, believed in the wrath of a god, more than God's own children, the lord never winks at sin, looks at anyone as a special case, we are all equal , no one is above the other, we are all suffering the same, chastened the same, convicted the same, if, if you are truly one of His people.
This also is comforting when we are going through many trials and troubles, we know all before us and still today, who are truly his, also go through the same things and many hardships. All those who choose to live Godly in Christ Jesus shall face persecution. The world hates the true Christian, Jesus said, ' Marvel not at this, as they hated me, they will hate you. This is a dual message, one of conviction and one of encouragement, as behold the goodness and severity of God, there is no other way, its called balance.

Sacred Name Theology And Messianics, Law- Verses Grace PT 3. 100% Proof In This Post, This Is A Doctrine Of Demons

Psa 19:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Psa 19:2  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

Psa 19:3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Psa 19:4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Psa 19:5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Psa 19:6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Psa 19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psa 19:8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psa 19:9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Psa 19:10  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psa 19:11  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psa 19:12  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Psa 19:13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

Psa 19:14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

This Psalm 100% refutes the doctrine of sacred name theology, the lord hears all words. All languages, fact. This is a biblical response, and a prophecy pointing to the Christian Nations of the distant islands, different tongues, and different languages.

CR.

Acts Ch 2

When the spirit first came, the men preached the gospel in many different languages, this again proves, the first proclamation of the gospel the first day the N.T. Church was born, was birthed from the miracle of the baptism of the holy spirit, and they spoke in the many, many languages, thousands were saved, this clearly shows, that , as sacred name theology teaches, you can not be saved if saved by the name Jesus, it must be Yashua, this is pure false doctrine, as we just saw in the O.T. and N.T.

Psa 19:3  There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard.

The thousands were not saved because they were not saved in the sacred name of Yashua, it has taken over the net, and it’s main hub in Florida. Jewdizers of the sound doctrine, they say the Greek, is a corrupted text, the Greek is what the original manuscripts, from Hebrew Apostles wrote, fact. The oldest Greek text is in Syria, called the Syriac version. The Greek textus receptus is the inherent word of God, not a translation, no matter how good, you must know the Greek and Aramaic in the N.T. to see, and ancient church history 100% proves this.

I am feed up with these jewdizers as Paul was. You have to follow feasts, observe parts of the law, use only the name Yashua, and G_d, this is a Jewish thing, not a N.T. Gentile thing. Paul’s worse enemies were these people and they are back in full force.

I have posted on this a few times, mentioned it in a few books. It is heresy, blasphemy to preach another Gospel, one of law, not grace, pure blasphemy.

Most falling for this Zionist propaganda and false doctrine are gentiles dressing up in ancient Jewish cloths, high priest costumes and all. Wake up, you are a gentile, even if you are a Jew, it is at the name of JESUS that every knee shall bow and every tongue confesses, JESUS CHRIST is LORD.

You have to have a Hebrew N.T., did you know this came way, way after the Greek, so what text does the Hebrew N.T. base its words on? The original Greek, that is all they had, fact not fiction.

Jesus,Jesus,Jesus.Jesus is Lord. Jesus means Joshua as in the common name of the day, our lord came as a commoner, born in a stable, ministered in Greek fact, it was the language most spoke at the time. Paul considered those that teach such things as, you must worship on Saturday, Sunday is not the mark of the beast, fact.

You have to eat certain food, observe the feasts, be circumcised, Paul spoke a lot about these ones, and their doctrine from hell. If that is you reader, repent, get away from what Paul considered double curse, another Gospel, Run, get away. Man can never settle for salvation by faith alone. The legalistic have to make it a man made thing, make it hard, salvation by faith alone is a simple, yet profound revelation. This is the reason Luther nailed on the Catholics wall the 99 edicts he came to believe after reading the book of Romans, and so, started the protestant reformation and slaughter of many Non Catholics, that fled to the catacombs of Rome. It will be these ones that the word speaks of when it says, they that have you killed, will think they are doing God a service, and others. Mostly the jewdizer legalisms, that say you have to this and that, follow this law, that law, observe this feast, that feast, eat this food, not that food, and use this new secret name, a new revelation, from Satan, same devil, same false doctrine, and nothing new under the sun, same deception.

Grace, Grace, Grace, not law. Ones who practice this make the blood of JESUS of no effect and is the most dam able heresy to arise in these last days.

Col 2:16  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Col 2:17  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Col 2:18  Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Col 2:19  And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

Good Lord, anyone can read and understand Col. 2:16 that is it, in a nutshell.

OOOpps that came from the corrupted Greek text, guess what the Hebrew N.T says the same thing. Jesus is Lord, I love and adore my Jesus, in the name of Jesus, Satan is defeated, it is no scared thing, no deep mystery to change the name that defeats the devil. I prefer the name Jesus, I worship on all days, not one, and I eat anything I can get, once it is sanctified by prayer, also, what Paul taught.

The Birth Pains Are Hitting Very Hard See Vid And Links-Urgent Post, Must Read

This Post Is for The Non Believer, a Word Of Warning With Proofs, It's Time To Get Right With God. This Is not To The Bride, Those That Need To Repent TODAY!

This is not a post to put the people of God in fear, but, the fact is we are now seeing already in the first 3 months of the Gregorian Calendar 2012 show signs of what is coming, harder and stronger.
Matt 24, says when you see these things happen , do not be in fear, so do not be afraid of this post if you are saved, if you are not saved, God in His mercy has been giving time to repent, this time is running out fast today. To the scoffers and the ones who have taunted this ministry for 1 year, due to these matters, this ones for you. The word of the lord is true and is being fulfilled as I write. The birth pains, wow.

As I said the Holy Prophet Calender is April 6th, that is Gods 2012, so we are still in 2011, fact. If you have not read the book, that started all this please, do

The Coming Pre-trib-tribulation, Coming To America a free e-book, link on right. It is so far spot on. I would highly suggest if you have not read it, to do so now, and get ready.

The word of the lord said back in Jan our 2012 the E.U. would see it's greatest ice age in our history, wait till you see this video, I just saw it 5 minutes ago, it is a must see. If this does not convince you I do not know what will.

The link to the ice age word post is hear,

 http://truthandmercyministries.blogspot.com/2012/02/eu-and-parts-of-canada-year-of-mini-ice.html

The words given in Jan 2012, our 2012 about what I see coming, is being seen before our eyes the link is hear.

http://truthandmercyministries.blogspot.com/2012/01/prophetic-insights-to-come-in-2012-my.html

Now see the video and compare, what the Lord said, and I said in part. I say this only to point out to non believers, the spirit still speaks, I am nothing, just a bond servant. Say what you want, I am way pass caring, it is to late. This is a warning, yet again, may the lord open your eyes and get to know Jesus today. The Judgments are falling very, very strong. As I said April 6 will start Ayin Beth 5772 our 2012, so what a 13 month 2011 we have had, 2011 is a leap year Adar 1 and Adar 2, wild.

I do not know how much longer we will have the internet, or any freedoms, so say what you have to say, and say it now. Time is up, the writing is on the wall, do you not see it?

Note, The UFO stuff it shows, these are demons, or, and project blue beam, the great deception is at hand. The Earth is groaning as you will hear, far to much to say, watch-the 20 min vid, and fear not, understand the time frame, we are in the birth pains, and the Child is near birth.
The second video is a heavy prophecy the lord gave from the book of Ezekiel and how the U.S.A. has similarity, and the West, also it was a direct word in fall 2011 about the coming Ice age in the E.U. I post this old one, it is a tad scary, I felt the warring and Angels of Death as in Egypt, that passed over the elect in Goshen. We are in our Goshen, Jesus Christ. This was set to a few pics and a scary sound track, it was a serious and dire warning to the West, the Old World Order, not the Christian, a cry to repent. The ww3 lose, EQ's devastations, etc, I will think that since, way before winter, the prophecy about the E.U. Ice age in the winter of 2011-2012 Gregorian, so let us see?
The Lord confirms His word, not ours. One writer said it was not up to the Christian to talk about, or against the world, as God judges the world not we, the bride, this is true, and this word is a true word from the lord, not man, read the O.T. Prophets, read the words of Jesus to the non believing Jews, and understand the word says we are to behold the Goodness and Severity of God. Its all bible, John the baptist, preached the same way. In these last days , there are voices crying out in the wilderness, and watchmen on their posts, so Let us stand strong and in the power of the lord.

If You Make The The Right Move, You Will Not Be Moved

Psa 15:1  A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Psa 15:2  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Psa 15:3  He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

Psa 15:4  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

Psa 15:5  He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Spurgen:

Who should attend upon the ark was a matter of no small consequence, for because unauthorised persons had intruded into the office, David was unable on the first occasion to complete his purpose of bringing the ark to Zion. On the second attempt he is more careful, not only to allot the work of carrying the ark to the divinely appointed Levites (1Ch_15:2), but also to leave it in charge of the man whose house the Lord had blessed, even Obededom, who, with his many sons, ministered in the house of the Lord. (1Ch_26:8, 1Ch_26:12.) Spiritually we have here a description of the man who is a child at home in the Church of God on earth, and who will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever above. He is primarily Jesus, the perfect man, and in him all who through grace are conformed to his image.

Division - The first verse asks the question; the rest of the verses answer it. We will call the Psalm The Question And Answer.
Hints to Preachers
Psa_15:1 - Qualifications for church membership on earth and in heaven. A subject for self-examination.

Psa_15:1 -
I.   Comparison of the church to the tabernacle. God's presence manifested, sacrifice offered, and vessels of grace preserved in it; mean externally, glorious within.

II. Comparison of its double position to that of the tabernacle. Moving in the wilderness, and fixed on the hill.

III.           Enquire into qualifications for admittance into church and tabernacle. Parallel with the priests, etc.

Psa_15:1 - The great question. Asked by idle curiosity, despair, godly fear, earnest enquirer, soul troubled by falls of others, holy faith. Give answer to each.
Psa_15:1 - The citizen of Zion described - Thomas Boston's Sermons.

Psa_15:1 - Anxiety to know the true saints, how far lawful and profitable.

Psa_15:1 - God the only infallible discerner of true saints.

Psa_15:2 - He that walketh uprightly.

I.   What he must be. He must be upright in heart. A man himself bent double cannot walk uprightly.

II. How he must act. Neither from impulse, ambition, gain, fear, or flattery. He must not be warped in any direction, but stand perpendicularly.

III.           What he must expect. Snares, etc to trip him.

IV.            Where he must walk. Path of duty, the only one in which he can walk uprightly.

V.  Where he must look. Up, right-up, and then he will be upright.

Psa_15:2 - Speaketh the truth in his heart. Subject: - Heart falsehood and heart truth.

Psa_15:2 (first clause) - The citizen of Zion an upright walker.

Psa_15:2 (middle clause) - The citizen of Zion, a worker of righteousness.

Psa_15:2 (last clause) - The citizen of Zion, a speaker of truth - Four Sermons in Thomas Boston' s Works.

Psa_15:3 - The evils of detraction. It affects three persons here mentioned: the backbiter, the suffering neighbour, and the taker-up of the reproach.

Psa_15:3 - Nor taketh up a reproach. The sin of being too ready to believe ill reports. Common, cruel, foolish, injurious, wicked.

Psa_15:4 - The duty of practically honouring those who fear the Lord. Commendation, deference, assistance, imitation, etc.

Psa_15:4 - The sin of estimating persons other than by their practical characters.

Psa_15:4 (last clause) - The Lord Jesus as our unchanging Surety, his oath and his hurt.

Psa_15:5 - The evidences and privileges of godly men.

Psa_15:5 (last clause) - The fixedness and safety of the godly.

The psalm has 11 things to study. Spurgen gave a good and simple breakdown, you may want to re-read his break down of these 11 things.

This Psalms main message is much more than a list of do- nots, it is a list of Do’s.
The last words tell us how we can never be moved.

He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Well that pretty much is the reason our economy is collapsing, why? The sin of loaning money with interest, this is a sin, and no small matter, so much for the Bankers LOL. They are and shall be moved.

To the rest of us, I asked, have we been moved, by fear, looking upon others as we should not, judging a person before you know the whole matter, pointing of the finger, gossip, sins of the tongue are in abundance in the word.

Psa 24:1  A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psa 24:2  For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Psa 24:3  Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psa 24:4  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psa 24:5  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Psa 24:6  This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Psa 24:7  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psa 24:8  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Psa 24:9  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psa 24:10  Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

In this Psalm 4 things are listed as you read.

Psa 24:4  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

The King of Glory, strong and mighty, the lord mighty in battle, hear he comes, he is hear, now, he is lord of lords and Kings Of Kings. Have we forgot, grace and mercy, salvation are free, but discipleship costs us everything. The King of Glory, do you not want His presence and blessing in your life? I do not speak of the blessings of health, wealth, prosperity , no, no.

Mic 2:10  Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

Heb 13:13  Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Heb 13:14  For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

This is the move we are to make, not away, but to a closer walk with our Lord. This is a sanctified move, to be heavenly minded, and not worldly minded. We are not of this world. Our Lord comes as King of Glory , he inhabits the praise of His people, and with those that  walk with clean hands and pure hearts, putting away the sins of the tongue. The key is, the correct move, once made, we will than, and only than, see we will not be moved.

Are You In A Cave Of Adullam

1Sa 22:2  And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
 K&D;

1Sa_22:2
There a large number of malcontents gathered together round David, viz., all who were in distress, and all who had creditors, and all who were embittered in spirit (bitter of soul), i.e., people who were dissatisfied with the general state of affairs or with the government of Saul, - about four hundred men, whose leader he became. David must in all probability have stayed there a considerable time. The number of those who went over to him soon amounted to six hundred men (1Sa_23:13), who were for the most part brave and reckless, and who ripened into heroic men under the command of David during his long flight. A list of the bravest of them is given in 1 Chron 12, with which compare 2Sa_23:13. and 1Ch_11:15.
 Barnes:
1 Samuel 22:2
Discontented - See the margin. (Compare 1Sa_30:6; 2Sa_17:8.) The phrase here denotes those who were exasperated by Saul’s tyranny.

Clarke:
1 Samuel 22:2
And every one that was in distress - debt - discontented - It is very possible that these several disaffected and exceptionable characters might at first have supposed that David, unjustly persecuted, would be glad to avail himself of their assistance that he might revenge himself upon Saul, and so they in the mean time might profit by plunder, etc. But if this were their design they were greatly disappointed, for David never made any improper use of them. They are never found plundering or murdering; on the contrary, they always appear under good discipline, and are only employed in services of a beneficent nature, and in defense of their country. Whatever they were before they came to David, we find that he succeeded in civilizing them, and making profitable to the state those who were before unprofitable. It is not necessary to strain the words of the original in order to prove that these were oppressed people, and not exceptionable characters, as some have done.

Wesly:

1 Samuel 22:2
Debt - Probably poor debtors, whom the creditors were obliged to spare, Exo_22:25. And though their persons were with David, yet their lands and goods were liable to their creditors. Captain over them - He did not maintain any injustice or wickedness, which some of them possibly might be guilty of; but on the contrary, he instructed and obliged them to the practice of all justice and honesty.

Psa 142:4  I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

Psa 142:5  I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Psa 142:6  Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

Barnes;
 Psalms 142:5
I cried unto thee, O Lord - When there was no help; when I saw myself encompassed with dangers; when I looked on every hand and there was no “man” that would undertake for me. I said, Thou art my refuge -
(a) My “only” refuge. I can go nowhere else.

(b) Thou art “in fact” my refuge. I can and do put my trust in thee. See the notes at Psa_46:1. And my portion - See the notes at Psa_16:5. In the land of the living
- Among all those that live - all living beings. There is no one else among the living to
whom I can come but to thee, the living God. My hope is not in human beings, for they are against me; not in angels, for they have not the power to rescue me. It is God only, the living God, whom I make my confidence and the ground of my hope.

Psalms 142:4

I looked on my right hand, and beheld - Margin, “Look on the right hand and see The words translated “looked” and “beheld” are in the imperative mood in the Hebrew. They are not, however, improperly rendered as to the sense. They refer to David’s state of mind at the time, and give vividness to the description. The psalmist seems to be in the presence of others. He calls upon them to look around; to see how he was encompassed with danger. Look, says he, in every direction; see who there is on whom I may rely; what there is to which I may trust as a refuge. I can find none; I see none; there is none. The “right hand” is referred to here as the direction where he might look for a protector: Psa_109:6, Psa_109:31. But there was no man that would know me - No man to be seen who would recognize me as his friend; who would stand up for me; on whom I could rely.

Refuge failed me - Margin, as in Hebrew, “perished from me.” If there had been any hope of refuge, it has failed altogether. There is none now. No man cared for my soul - Margin, “No man sought after my soul.” Hebrew, after my “life.” That is, No one sought to save my life; no one regarded it as of sufficient importance to attempt to preserve me.

Gill;

but there was no man that would know me; take notice of him, and acknowledge and own him, or show him any favour, or even own that they had any knowledge of him; which is often the case when men are in affliction and distress, their former friends, acquaintance, yea, relations, keep at a distance from them; so it was with Job, the Messiah, and others; see Job_19:13; refuge failed me; as he could get no help from men, so there was no way open for his escape, or by which he could flee and get out of the hands and reach of his enemies; in these circumstances he was when in the cave;
no man cared for my soul; or "life" (o); to save it, protect and defend it, that is, very few; otherwise there were some that were concerned for him, as the men that were with him, and Jonathan, Saul's son; but none of Saul's courtiers, they were not solicitous for his welfare, but on the contrary sought his life, to take it away.
Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psa 91:1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psa 91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psa 91:3  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Psa 91:4  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psa 91:5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Psa 91:6  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Psa 91:7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Psa 91:8  Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Psa 91:9  Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

Psa 91:10  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Psa 91:11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psa 91:12  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psa 91:13  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Psa 91:14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Psa 91:15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Psa 91:16  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

God is our refuge, not man, but God. There are times when believers are in serious troubles, trials, persecutions, danger, want, need, and battle.
It is at this time, we find out who our real friends are, who are our true brethren. Paul said, ‘all the brethren in Asia have forsaken me’. ALL. At Paul’s first defense, no man stood with him, but all forsook him, sad, like Jesus, the sheep were all scattered, and fled, Peter even denied Jesus. King David said, the Lord is my refuge, Paul said, the lord stood with me, Jesus said, into thy hands I commit my spirit.

In such times we must learn, it is only our lord that stands as our faithful one. The word says, a brother is born for adversity, like Jonathan was born in David’s adversity, and the two became one spirit. There is at times a friend that sticks closer than a brother. When Paul was in his last prison stay, only Timothy was there. Timothy was faithful to Paul until Paul’s death, Jonathan was faithful to David, until Jonathans death.
I feel we have lost this spirit, as in the last days, men’s hearts shall wax cold, and will not have love for fellow man, even family, fellow brethren. The art of humble, caring weeping for those who weep, caring for those who cannot care for themselves, speaks volume of our society and the days we live in.
The message is no matter what happens, we are the lords, and we are to look to him, when no human help can be found. We live in the days of, ‘sorry man, fend for yourself’, where are the tears of holy intercession, where are the ones who will stay with one in pain and suffering? where are they? Where are the weepers that still have a tender heart? we were warned in the birth pain time frame and into the tribulation men’s hearts would turn cold to others, we were warned in the last days, men would cast off sound doctrine, and would be lovers of pleasure, and not lovers of God, self gratifying, self absorbed, caring only about themselves, we were warned, and...We are there.
I have heard many, many say. The lord is right now separating the sheep’s and the goats, while this may sound good, correct, and bare some truth, it is out of context, this happens in the tribulation, not before, just as the wheat and tares grow together until they are separated at the consummation, the second advent of our lord.
Context, keep all in context, but so few do.

Ps 91, I posted it all and blogged before on PS 91,  it is called by the military the fox hole prayer. This psalm as I said before, should be committed to memory, should be read  even daily while your in a fox hole, David’s Fox hole as our text shows was the cave in, of Adullam. Many today are in caves, no one around, no man to help, no one to care or even call. So be it, David said in the posted psalm above, wise words.

Psa 142:4  I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

Psa 142:5  I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

No man was helping David, refuge was not to be found, but the next verse he says, thou are my refuge. When David was in Ziglag, and his own people were ready to stone him to death, David encouraged himself in the lord. This is what we must do, esp. in these days we live in, we must learn to look only to the lord, and encourage ourselves in the lord, as no one else will do it for you.

This is of great comfort and instruction, be it alone and in a cave of despair, we have a faithful Lord, that is always available, always present, always a fortress, and he is always our comforter and the keeper of our soul. Peter said it well when speaking to Jesus ‘to whom shall we go, you alone have the words of eternal life. The lord is our all in all, he alone is the one we are to go to.

Let us learn this message, it is needed to be understood now and in the days ahead, for men’s hearts have already waxed cold, men have already turned from truth and are now self-absorbed. It will only become worse and worse, this is why so many are being purged, refined and tried now, the lord is preparing us for Glory in heaven, its training for reigning, and also its spiritual preparation for the hard times ahead.

The Christian Paparazzi Is Everywhere

Mat 11:7  And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

Mat 11:8  But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
Mat 11:9  But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

Mat 11:10  For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Mat 11:11  Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Mat 11:12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Mat 11:13  For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

Mat 11:14  And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come

Mat 11:15  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Clark:

A reed shaken with the wind? - An emblem of an irresolute, unsteady mind, which believes and speaks one thing to-day, and another to-morrow. Christ asks these Jews if they had ever found any thing in John like this:
Was he not ever steady and uniform in the testimony he bore to me? The first excellency which Christ notices in John was his steadiness; convinced once of the truth, he continued to believe and assert it. This is essentially necessary to every preacher, and to every private Christian. He who changes about from opinion
to opinion, and from one sect or party to another, is never to be depended on; there is much reason to believe that such a person is either mentally weak, or has never been rationally and divinely convinced of the truth.

Gill:

A reed shaken with the wind? This may either refer to John's gesture in preaching, who might wave to and fro as a reed does, when shaken by the wind; and Christ's question is, did ye go out only to see and observe the preacher's gesture, to see him move his body to and fro? Was it not to hear his doctrine, and receive benefit
for your souls? And did you not? Wherefore, you ought still to retain a valuable respect for him. Or this may regard their opinion of him; and the sense of the interrogation is, when you first went out to him, did you take him to be an unstable, inconstant man? Like a reed shaken with every wind! If you did, you were mistaken; he was firm and stable in his sentiments and ministry, his preaching was not yea and nay, his doctrine was all of a piece; he stood to it, that he was not the Messiah, but his forerunner; the testimony he bore was always alike, consistent with himself, and he is the same man now he ever was. The Jews use this comparison of a man to a reed, in a sense just the reverse, and make it to signify constancy, and not inconstancy, as well as tenderness, in opposition to roughness, severity, and stubbornness.
"Let a man (say they (w)) be always רך בקנה, "tender as a reed", and let him not be hard and stubborn as a cedar: when the four winds of the world go out, the reed goes and comes with them; and when the winds are still, the reed stands in its place.''
So they observe (x), that it is said, that "the Lord shall smite Israel, as a reed shaken in the water", 1Ki_14:15 which they interpret by way of blessing. "As a reed (say they) stands in a place of water, its body waves about, and its roots are many; and though all
the winds in the world come and blow upon it, they cannot move it out of its place, but it goes and comes with them; and when the winds are still, the reed stands in its place.''

Henry:

It is our duty to consult the reputation of our brethren, and not only to remove, but to obviate and prevent, jealousies and ill thoughts of them; and we must take all occasions, especially such as discover any thing of infirmity, to speak well of those who are praiseworthy, and to give them that fruit of their hands. They who have a confirmed interest themselves, should improve it for the helping of the credit and reputation of others, whose character claims it, but whose temper or present circumstances put them out of the way of it.

This is giving honour to whom honour is due. John had abased himself to honour Christ (Joh_3:20, Joh_3:30, Mat_3:11), had made himself nothing, that Christ might be All, and now Christ dignifies him with this character.

They who humble themselves shall be exalted, and those that honour Christ he will honour; those that confess him before men, he will confess, and sometimes before men too, even in this world. John had now finished his testimony, and now Christ commends him. Note, Christ reserves honour for his servants when they have done their work, Joh_12:26.
Though we must be forward to give to all their due praise for their encouragement, yet we must avoid every thing that looks like flattery, or may be in danger of puffing them up. They who in other things are mortified to the world, yet cannot well bear their own praise. Pride is a corrupt humour, which we must not feed either in others or in ourselves.

II. That what Christ said concerning John, was intended not only for his praise, but for the people's profit, to revive the remembrance of John's ministry, which had been well attended, but which was now (as other such things used to be) strangely forgotten: they did for a season, and but for a season, rejoice in his light, Joh_5:35. “Now, consider, what went ye out into the wilderness to see? Put this question to yourselves.”

 1. John preached in the wilderness, and thither people flocked in crowds to him, though in a remote place, and an inconvenient one. If teachers be removed into corners, it is better to go after them than to be without them.
Now if his preaching was worth taking so much pains to hear it, surely it was worth taking some care to recollect it. The greater the difficulties we have broken through to hear the word, the more we are concerned to profit by it.

2. They went out to him to see him; rather to feed their eyes with the unusual appearance of his person, than to feed their souls with his wholesome instructions; rather for curiosity than for conscience. Note, Many that attend on the word come rather to see and be seen, than to learn and be taught, to have something to talk of,
than to be made wise to salvation. Christ puts it to them, what went ye out to see?

Note, They who attend on the word will be called to an account, what their intentions and what their improvements were. We think when the sermon is done, the care is over; no, then the greatest of the care begins. It will shortly be asked, “What
usiness had you such a time at such an ordinance? What brought you thither? Was it custom or company, or was it a desire to honour God and get good? What have you brought thence? What knowledge, and grace, and comfort? What went you to see?” Note, When we go to read and hear the word, we should see that we aim
right in what we do.

III. Let us see what the commendation of John was. They know not what answer to make to Christ's question; well, says Christ, “I will tell you what a man John the Baptist was.”

1. “He was a firm, resolute man, and not a reed shaken with the wind; you have been so in your thoughts of him, but he was not so. He was not wavering in his principles, nor uneven in his conversation; but was remarkable for his steadiness and constant consistency with himself.” They who are weak as reeds will be shaken as reeds; but John was strong in spirit, Eph_4:14. When the wind of popular applause on the one hand blew fresh and fair, when the storm of Herod's rage on the other hand grew fierce and blustering, John was still the same, the same in all weathers. The testimony he had borne to Christ was not the testimony of a reed, of a man who was of one mind today, and of another tomorrow; it was not a weather-cock testimony; no, his constancy in it is intimated (Joh_1:20)

Eph 4:14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

This text says a lot about what a man of God John the Baptist was, he was the voice in the wilderness. This in context, is only John spoken of, as the forerunner and he who proclaimed of the coming Messiah.
In a way all who feel the call to such a ministry as a voice in the wilderness, or watchmen ministry must heed, it was not a life of comfort. John did not ware silk clothes, no Rolex watch, no BMW, no mansion, he lived out door’s, clothed in humble clothing, his food was humble, locus and honey, his ministry mighty. Therefore, you want this ministry. You can, but know what comes with being a voice in the wilderness, a watchmen, it is one of many sorrows, and no worldly comforts, it is a call to poverty, a call to holiness, a call to speak against the current tides of evil.
John was no reed shaken in the wind. He was steady in what he preached, he was not carried about with every wind of doctrine as so many are, it is true that we now have an apostate Church, a weak church, a confused church, a false church, a church that changes from doctrine to doctrine, promotes all new and false teachings,
not so can a voice in the wilderness be, not so with a stable, steady watchmen, all ministers should be, are called to be, watchmen, sadly many have left their posts, they may still be in ministries, standing behind pulpits, but now it is a man, a man in compromise a man and not the voice of the lord.
We are in the days spoken of, we are in the days when many cannot find a Church that is steady and stable in orthodox sound doctrine, but there is a remnant of men of God, you just have to seek them out. What Henry brought out says it all and what many now need to do.
John preached in the wilderness, and thither people flocked in crowds to him, though in a remote place, and an inconvenient one. If teachers be removed into corners, it is better to go after them than to be without them.
 Did you get that?

If teachers be removed into corners, it is better to go after them than to be without them.

Many have to seek out in remote places, many have to do work to seek out these men of God, but so few do, many say the whole church, all preachers are apostate, and dead, not so dear reader, you have to take time and labor to seek out the voices in the wilderness, and true end time watchmen. Most just, heap unto themselves teachers, having ears that want to hear what they want to hear and not sound doctrine.

During the Great Awakening, we read in history of the great preachers, most were in remote places, some had to walk a great distance in knee high snow, but they did, they came, they sought out the true word of the lord, we read how many of these great old preachers held services in the wooded areas, people , families, children included, came to hear, they stood for two hours in knee high snow, just to hear these great preachers of truth. That was than, this is now.

Most only surf the web, watch videos and look for anything new, bizarre, anything. Many do not want to take this personal journey, and to their laziness they sit at home watching videos, false doctrine, reader it’s everywhere, but not in all places. There is a small remnant of faithful congregations, faithful preachers, faithful websites, few, but they are hear and out in cyber space, like this ministry, the lord will continue to bring people to it , that are looking for truth and not a man, a watchmen that is not a reed shaken in the wind, biblically sound doctrine, the whole counsel of God, amen. The lord draws the seeker and those who seek shall find.

Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The hungry, the thirsty, the ones who have a non-dying desire to be filled with the righteousness of Christ, shall indeed be satisfied, we have the word on it. You can be one who just reads what men of God say to criticize every word, try and be their spiritual guide, lord knows on the internet ministry it abounds with such self appointed ones, I have had my share of run ins with folks like that, it shows the foolish unreachable heart that criticize, because they do nothing. The Christian Paparazzi is everywhere and it is sad, hearers of the word and not doers, they are called trolls by the net community, all they do is go from site to site, board to board, and rail on accuse, put down and Judge everyone and everything, as the Corinthians did, they compared others to themselves, this is unwise, to use ourselves as the standard and not the word. looking to take that snap shot, of look at what he said, look at what he is doing, look, snap, take a pitcher it does last longer, in fact it last for all eternity, and all will have to give an account for this type of spirit.

So, if you hunger and thirst, if you seek out a preacher of truth it may take time, pains and inconveniences to do so. It is much easier today with the internet, but it should, must go deeper than this, as no man can do what only the Lord can do, we need preachers and teachers that are not reeds shaken in the wind, will you be one today, or if your looking and still staying at home, maybe you need to get up and look a little harder, that needed Church, congregation, be it a Church that meets in a house, seek it out, forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as some are in the habit of doing, but rather all the more as you see the day approaching.
Some are in places that have no home churches, micro churches, Congregations, nothing, to those all I can say, is remember the Apostle John , he was a prisoner on Patmos, and on the Lords day, he was in the spirit, and he received the greatest book, on bible prophecy in all of the bible, he was alone, in a desolate place, and yet, he was in the spirit worshipping the lord and the lord met him.

Paul and Silas were in the inner jail cell, chained to a wall and about midnight, they sang hymns and the place was shaken, the jailers family saved, and they were delivered, amen. No matter beloved where you are, what you circumstances are, you can always have a one on one with the lord in the secret place of prayer, you can
freely enter by the blood of Christ the Holy of Holies, you can have a intimate relationship with Jesus, no matter where you are, no matter what your going through, we have access into this secret prayer chamber and thus, we are without excuse if we are dead, dry, empty, critical, or feel we are super apostles, or super prophets, leave that to the T.V. Ministers, you can enter today, this day, and freely, the price has been paid, Jesus picked up the tab, all paid for, all free, and so few enter into this place and its free, may it change today, as we are closer to the end times than when we first believed, and all the more so as we see the day approaching.

Mat 11:12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Barnes:

Matthew 11:12

The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence - The tax-gatherers and heathens, whom the scribes and Pharisees think have no right to the kingdom of the Messiah, filled with holy zeal and earnestness, seize at once on the proffered mercy of the Gospel, and so take the kingdom as by force from those learned doctors who claimed for themselves the chiefest places in that kingdom. Christ himself said, The tax-gatherers and harlots go before you into the kingdom of God. See the parallel place, Luk_7:28-30. He that will take, get possession of the kingdom of righteousness, peace, and spiritual joy, must be in earnest: all hell will oppose him in every step he takes; and if a man be not absolutely determined to give up his sins and evil companions, and have his soul saved at all hazards, and at every expense, he will surely perish everlastingly. This requires a violent earnestness.

He that will take, get possession of the kingdom of righteousness, peace, and spiritual joy, must be in earnest: all hell will oppose him in every step he takes;

We are called to withstand the devil, resist him and he will flee.

To the true seeker and true Christian I close with this.
Keep steady in the faith and let the Christian Paparazzi butt themselves into their own hell.
