Gathering As House Churches During The Current Time of Apostasy by Edgar Reich

This short video same man as below, posted first, this second short one is full of truth, take a listen, do you have 5 min?

How To Form A House Church and When by Edgar Reich- Very Short Video- A Must Hear

Edgar Reich, I just found on sermon index, the best place for sound doctrine, the link to the place is to the right, also remember, the tab up top on the bar that says 'great old sermons', click that and take a listen to great sermons, sound doctrine, look beloved, sound doctrine is still out there, you just have to know where to go, and sermon index is number one by far with thousands of sermons, so anyone can get sound doctrine anytime, and avoid the false, stuff and twisted stuff mostly on You Tube. These vids are on You Tube, and sermon index is on You tube, On my site my only page I link to and show is sermon index, many words, great for non-full gospel, and full gospel as well, so that is that. Are you hungery for truth? Do you need to learn the basics, I recommend you go daily to sermon index and fill your self with sound doctrine, also much bible study, study, study, study, pray often this is all there is to it, add serving to that, and this is the simple real deal.

Salvation is a simple thing, so simple many can not grasp it, if your a seeker, you will never understand the bible until you are born again, after you will , as your spiritual eyes will be open, and the greatest teacher in the world will be with you, the Holy Spirit , your teacher, your guide, your comfort, and convictor, and intercessor.( See Romans Ch 8; The H.S. Intercedes, only place found in the N.T. ) It s time to get into the real deal, sound doctrine, salvation, the bible, prayer and serving the lord.
This video and the next one are about home churches. Many have  home churches-Micro Churches, it is what is going on with those who are sick of the condition of most Churches. Our Church has a large space, but it is a home-Micro church.

I am working on two new free e-books, the commentary on Galatians going well, but I am working on one with urgency, the holy spirit told me clearly the need for the new free book, a How To, of sorts, on a home churches-Micro churches and what a N.T. simple fellowship will look like, be like and full of help and ideas. I have planted many ministries, now days , it is a new ball game, and a new thing is happening, a remnant is being prepared and coming together all over the world in home and micro-Churches, these will be the Churches that will stand and endure, and minister after the collapse of America. It will also be the ones with much persecution. The book deals with many things I have faced, you have faced, and a chapter on current Home Churches under attack, and Christian persecution in America going on now, and what is coming.

Faith And Forgiveness Go Hand In Hand

Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mar 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mar 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

There is no doubt in my mind at all, in this text we learn of asking in faith, and next forgiving others. Just as love is said in 1 Cor 13 to be the greatest, over all gifts of the spirit, recall one of the nine gifts of the spirit is Faith. This faith gift is not 'the faith', meaning the gospel, or believing faith, as we are called to this, but a super abounding gift of faith and different than regular faith.

In context when Paul was teaching the Corinthians about the Gifts of the Spirit. Ch 12, is about the gifts, and chapter 14 as well, stuck in the middle is the grand chapter of love. These are not things that are put in order just to fill space, the lord is saying a deep message, forgive, over look an offense, love covers a multitude of sins, love is greatest, and such, in our text we read all we need is mustard seed sized faith to move a mountain, this shows the power of faith, the key is not to have faith in faith, but to have faith in God as verse 22 reads.

Have faith in God......sounds easy, it is a place we all come to, a crises of faith. We are called to do something that is God sized, bigger than what we have, or could ever have, God sized callings will come with things needed only God could provide. This is faith, confidence that the lord will do what he said for you to do.

I know in our ministry this lesson is becoming all too clear. The lord has told us to do God sized things, thus we pray, wait and have faith in God, it is the lord who said do these things, it is His will, His call, and He will provide in his time the things needed.

When Gideon was called to war he ended up with only 300 men, when Abraham was called to Father a nation, he walked alone with no child, when Moses was called to deliver Israel from Egypt, he was given a rod, his brother and a one line sermon, " let my people go" . These are God sized calls, and only the lord himself can do it, we can do nothing, but only believe.

Has the lord called you to do something, so far beyond you , so big in the human eye you resort to saying, " this must be my mind, my dream, it is to big, I am not qualified enough, I have no money, this is way beyond me, no way can this be". This is a way of seeing a God sized call, if it is the lord and not self, the lord will enable you, he will teach you, break you, and show you many things to match up with the call.

This is why Abraham did not have a child for 25 years, this is why Paul did not go to Jerusalem for 12 or 13 years, it is a timing issue. The lord may have spoken something to you years ago and you wonder what happened, why is it taking so long? It is because the lord is preparing you for the call, so you will be able to accomplish what your called to do.

Today, have faith in God, have faith He will do what He said, in His timing, only believe and one day you will see the call, His will for your life come to pass.

We are in the last days, this makes many of us in a hurry, but our Lord is not in a hurry, He alone can do more in one week, than we could do in a life time, so be relaxed, rest in Him, do not be in a hurry, but pursue what he has called you to do and you will soon see , what you once thought was imposable has come to pass.

One hindrance to faith , mountain moving faith, is forgiveness, if you have an ought against someone the word says ," leave your gift at the alter and go make amends, than come back and offer your offering" the words says, faith, hope and love, but love is greatest, love is greater than faith, but if you have both, all things are possible.

Others Die Because They Were Born; He Was Born That He Might Die- A Hard Word

Mat 20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

Mat 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Mat 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Mat 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Mat 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Mat 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Mat 20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Mat 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Mat 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Mat 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Mat 20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

Meyer:

Matthew 20:17-28

Serving Nobler than Self-Seeking

Mat_20:17-28

For the third time our Lord foretells His death. In Mat_16:21, He dwelt especially on the shame of His rejection; in Mat_17:23, He told how the gates of death would open on the Easter joy. Now He declares the method of His death, and tells how Gentiles would join with His own people in the tragedy of the Cross. He was no martyr, who went unknowing to his doom. He set His face to go to the Cross. Others die because they were born; He was born that He might die.

Many desire the power of the throne, without being prepared to pay the price of suffering. Others say glibly and easily, We can, little realizing what their choice involves, and that nothing but the grace of God can make their vow possible of fulfillment. But it is sufficient! Only claim it. God will not fail you! Notice Mat_20:28. The Lord ministers to us all, daily, patiently, lovingly. He took on Him the form of a servant and became obedient. Serve all men for His sake! We have to go down to reach His side.

The message title , taken from a sentence in Meyers commentary is profound, as is the last words ,

Serve all men for His sake! We have to go down to reach His side.

This is a classic teaching on improving your serve, on being a humble servant. The lord in this chapter is telling his followers about his death, what do they do? The mom of James and John came to Jesus with them, and asked if her sons could be seated on his right and left hand in glory. I do not know about you, but when I read this I think, they had been with Jesus three years, they had much to learn. Servitude was something they had not yet learned. Jesus often rebuked his disciples for a lack of faith, we read this often. Jesus always had to hear their quarrels, men just cannot get along, nothing has changed, get a group of people together and in time you will have troubles to deal with. In our new Church plant and coffee house ministry, I am not new to this, I know what to expect, people will complain about the music, how long the service is, how cold or hot it is, some will be jealous of each other, some will not like each other on and on, this will never changed until we are perfected in Heaven.

This does not stop any gathering, any planting, anything at all. The word teaches us be of one mind, one heart, one purpose, even one doctrine. The doctrine of the Apostles it was called, anything other than the doctrine of the Apostles was another gospel, and double cursed , read Galatians. The whole N.T. after Acts Chapter 2 is 100% Pentecostal, no need for clarification, it was the norm, it was the doctrine of the Apostles, even John the Baptist foretold of this baptism of the spirit and fire. The whole N.T. with our lord moving and healing, all is full gospel.

Funny now days, we have so many denominations and doctrines, but in the N.T. they had one doctrine, one teaching and they were one body, unity among the true believers in the faith handed and taught to them by the apostles, by letters and his servants. Like it or not, think the spirit no longer speaks , moves, heals, you are reading a N.T. that is indeed pentecostal 100%. This does not stop division.

We must learn as ministers, esp. that we are the servants of all, no big shots like on Christian T.V. No head other than Christ, no doctrine aside from sound doctrine of servitude, humility and death to self. The anointing is not something you can buy like the evil magician tried in Acts, but many still do. Many still say, ' I want to be used, I want to be anointed like so and so" listen this anointing , the real deal, is not something that just comes on you. It takes years of anguish and dealing with hardship, being humbled over and over and over. The school of Christ never ends until death. Not to say a new Christian can not be anointed and used in might , as the bible speaks of the new convert that was powerfully rebuking the Jews, preaching with power and authority his name was Apollos. I am saying , it comes with a price tag, death to self and full reliance on the lord. You can not send X amount of dollars to some T.V. Ministry and get a cloth anointed with oil, because you were told by the scam artist, the cloth would convey a double portion of the spirit, or prosperity.

As The Commentary said above,

Many desire the power of the throne, without being prepared to pay the price of suffering.

There are no dictators as the Gentiles had, Jesus said, it is 100% different in the Kingdom, it is, 'whoever is greatest is least, and servant to all'. Jesus showed this at the last super when He washed the disciples feet. I see a real need in the Church of our lord, His true body world wide, a need for a wake up call, get over self and into Jesus. We must, as Meyer said,

Serve all men for His sake! We have to go down to reach His side.
Have you gone down to self today? If not, you will not see and experience the true presence of the living Christ

Mat 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Mat 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Mat 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Christians, Pastors, Leaders I make an open plea, HUMILITY, SERVITUDE, we are nothing, why is it this ultimate lesson is so neglected? Because it goes against the flesh, many are moved in pride, position, money, followers, none of this humility and servitude matters to them, the lord vomits the proud out of his mouth.

Pride is no light matter, it is a cancer in the Church, esp. with the heads of ministries, I tell you now repent, the lord will vomit you out of his mouth, at the great white throne judgment many are in for a big surprise. Pride is of the Devil, the christian should have no part with it, the bible goes as far to teach us , we are not even to have fellowship with a proud man, and one who chases, lives, for gain of money. I know many like this, and the lord said, have nothing to do with these ones, they are under wrath, their house of cards are soon to fall.

Be nowhere near these proud ones who know nothing of humility and servitude. They love to be called Pastor and walk with chins up high, just as the Pharisees, so are many Pastors. They love the greetings in public, they love when people stop them and say, hello PASTOR so and so, Hello DR. so and so, hello Evangelist so and so, elder so and so, deacon so and so, Die to self man, die to self. Jesus is King, he alone is lifted high, He alone is holy and mighty, you are nothing apart from him. Flee from such ones as you would flee Babylon, dear reader, the word said it, not me.

I would to God the body of Christ would take these three verses of Matt Ch 20 -Vs 25-27, and read them until they get a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ and return to their first love, as they only love themselves, and love of money, position, title. Pride comes before the fall.

Many are ready to fall, Judgment begins in the house of God. Humility, servitude, what is it that ministers, leaders, Christians are missing in this truth. We can not be in the image of our lord with out these attributes, there is noway to be Christ like unless you can grasp humility and servitude. Many have had their reward in this world, remember the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, because that is what many are headed for.

Wake up Church leaders, humble yourself and repent, for the lord is soon to visit you, many will be taken out of their ministry and pulpits, Judgment is on many Christians , and they keep going on and acting like anything but true humble disciples of Christ. May this word , this strong word, bring conviction to the ones that need it, and peace to the ones who know it and live it.

I end this word with the words already read one last time that have substance.

1. Pride comes before the fall.

2. Many desire the power of the throne, without being prepared to pay the price of suffering.
3. Serve all men for His sake! We have to go down to reach His side.

4. Others die because they were born; He was born that He might die.

END TIMES - John Macarthur, David wilkerson, Carter Conlon, Derek prince - Short Video Take A Watch

David Wilkerson Today-MONDAY, JULY 29, 2013-POWER IN HARD TIMES-by Gary Wilkerson- Plus A Free Flow Prophetic Word

I visited a church in El Salvador where the average income of the members is four dollars a day. I was astonished to learn that the people give two of their earned dollars toward charity. When I asked them why they give so much, all of them answered, " Because Jesus told us to give to the poor"

When I pointed out that they were in need, they responded, " Oh, No! We're blessed and want to bless in return.

These are not hearts that are unholy or swollen with conceit. Can we say the same of ourselves? As Christians, will we be eager to bless others when we have little in our accounts?
Or will we shrink back when it comes to blessing as we have been blessed?

The coming hard times will reveal the condition of our hearts. For the first time in history, less than 50 percent of Americans identify themselves as believers of some kind. That figure is even lower- 30 percent -for people under thirty. Many of these check- NONE, as their religious affiliation. It is estimated that within a decade this generation will be lost completely to secularism and godlessness. And intolerance for Christians will only increase.

What are we to do with this? The writer of Hebrews answers, ' Recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings " ( Heb 10:32, ESV )
God turned those early Christians' sufferings into tools for gospel power: " sometimes being publicaly exposed to reproach and affliction...... you joyfully accepted the plunder of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one.

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For, " Yet a little while , and the coming one will come....but the righteous shall live by faith, but if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him" But we are not those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their soils" Heb 10:33-39

This is a hard passage, to be sure, but there is good news embedded here. God is telling us that in the midst of the growing darkness, he is doing something glorious, raising up a last-days Church as a testimony to His power in hard times.

I was reading this in the early AM, and it spoke to my heart, a confirmation of sorts of yesterdays message, and when I sparked up E-Sword Meyers message was very similar, when the spirit confirms that much you know he is speaking, but are we listening?

THE CHRISTIAN EXTRA
"Whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain."-- Mat_5:41.

OUR LORD refers here to the usage of the East in the transmission of royal messages, which were carried forward by relays of messengers, much in the fashion of the fiery cross in the Highlands, as described in "The Lady of the Lake." The messengers were "press-men"; each town or village was compelled to forward the message to the next, and the first man happened upon was bound to forward the courier with his horses or mules.
In some such way emergencies are continually happening to us all.

We arise in the morning not expecting any special demand for help, or any other circumstance to interfere with the regular routine of the day's work, and then suddenly and unexpectedly a demand bursts upon us, and we are obliged to go in a direction which we never contemplated. We are compelled to go one mile! Then the question arises. Now you have done your duty, performed what you were bound to perform, given what any other person would have given, what are you going to do about the next mile? You had no option about the first; about the second you have an opportunity of choice. Your action in the matter which is optional determines whether or not you have entered into the spirit and ministry of Christ.

Let us not be stingy and niggardly( Wow This is Old English ) in our dealings with men. There are certain things that must be done, but let us go beyond the must, and do our duty with a smile, and with generous kindness. It is not enough to pay our servants or employees, let us be thankful for their service; it is not enough to pay our debts, let us give the word also of appreciation; it is not enough to simply do the work for which our employer remunerates us, let us do it with alacrity and eagerness, willing to finish a piece of necessary service even at cost to ourselves. As the followers of Christ, we are to be stars bearing our light on the vault of night; flowers shedding fragrance on the world; fountains rising in the arid wastes; always giving love and helpful ministry to this thankless and needy world, and as we break and distribute our barley loaves and fishes, our hands will become filled again, and with the measure we mete, it shall be measured to us again (Luk_6:38).

PRAYER
O God, may we be more gracious to those around us. May we fill up the measure of our possibilities, and so be perfect, as Thou, our Father, art perfect in love. AMEN.

I read last night on the AP News, that 4 out of 5 Americans are destitute, and mostly white, so now all are equal, wild 4 out of 5, also with the largest city in USA history Detroit filing for bankruptcy, these are all signs the economic collapse coming very soon. I have said often. The lord will require his true people to be active in ministry, not in hiding, opening their door, and feeding the hungry, preaching the salvation message, at that time you will have peoples ears.

You do not have to be a home mission as our ministry is, you may not be called to feed, cloth, house many people, but you can do your part right where you are. With the new stats and all Wilkerson said, we know christian persecution is on us, Judgment is on us, and it increases every day.

Have you been in spiritual preparation? Are you getting tiered of waiting, to the point your ready to just give up? Are you doing the works of Jesus today? has your heart become cold towards others, and Christian work? Examine your heart, but know no matter how bad, how dark it all gets, we will have power, there will be a testimony for Christ, vibrant, full of joy, shouting praise in dark times and shinning forth with the Glory of our lord. Joy beloved, the spirit says, 'Many are losing their Joy, things are getting crazy, hard, many are so busy, they have neglected the word and prayer, this robs your joy, come back, come back to the living fountain and feast, get your smile back, bounce in your step, inner Joy that is exceeding and full of Glory. Do not let your life, the Devil, or your flesh take your joy away, or cause you to be so busy you do not spend quality time with the lord every day. It is high time to arise and be what the lord has called you to be, and do what he has called you to do, if not, he will call and use another.

Rise, rise, bride of Christ, the collapse is nigh at hand, and it is time for faith, it is time to shout down the walls of Jericho, it is time to move in holy anointing, it is time, marching papers are now being given, locations set up, the call is speaking to many, do not let it pass, do what the lord says in and by faith, no matter what it is. It is time, I tell you now, it is time, it is time, to do and obey, it is time, this is the word of the lord. Free flow prophecy amen.

A Lesson From George Muller’s Life and Ministry Amazing Read.

First I am making a request, but read on this is a great message .

I made a request a while ago, concerning the need for an acoustic guitar, no response, it must be steel string, as it will be used out doors and nylon sound does not carry but a foot.
This is a real need. This is the last time I will ask for anything, let me explain why.

Number 1. No one responds anyway, a hard economy I fully understand.

Number 2. I am reading a book and in it, it speaks of the life, and ministry of George Muller. I am sure many of you have heard of this old Godly saint and what he did in his life. The portion on this man really spoke to my heart, hard and heavy. Muller, never asked anyone for a dime, he brought all his needs to the lord in prayer, and all he prayed for was given, yes by others, but he did not ask. He had a burden for homeless Children and with no money he had the lord give him in his life’s ministry 8 million dollars needed, a little at a time, and he founded orphanages, and other houses, 8 million, all to ministry, and he only asked in prayer and the lord moved hearts. At his death his savings, his net worth was 800.00 that is simply amazing, and speaks volumes on faith, prayer, and a vessel that was but a channel for the lord to use .

In 1Jn. we read, if we pray according to the lords will, we will have what we ask for, that is key. Our example, all we are asking the lord for are things for ministry, and ministry is the lords will, thus in someway, some how, we know these needed things will be given to the glory and praise of our lord. This is the last time I will post a need. This spoke to me, I was in meditation even about this post, as said, no one has helped in a long time, I have given up on that, that is OK, the lord will move the right heart, as this request is for ministry. The Church in the wilderness, and the Court Yard Coffee House ministry.

The lord provided so many things, all the man caves are full of stuff from the estate yard sale left overs, we had first dibs on what was left and holy cow, is all I can say, so in ways like this, I never thought this would happen and many ministry items given from our labor from the women in Mi. St. She was happy she made some money and we got the rest, we did not have room for all the stuff, so we spread the word to those in poverty around us and in two days a massive pile of stuff was taken, and needed by them, that is ministry, all Christians that go to other churches, a few will be coming to the Church In The Wilderness, The plan stands, Last week of Sept. First week Oct, the super hot humid air will change by then, and all out door in the large court Yard. I mentioned on the video I shot concerning my deep feeling the Court yard area would be the place most ministry would happen, when weather is good.

It is an end time, sound doctrine full gospel, no programs, metal chairs,  N.T. Ministry-Church basic pulpit, I just made from an old military box that was part of the yard sale. The cheap music stand is trashed, OK inside, not out, very light, we needed a podium, lectern, something made of heavy wood, but no tools or wood, the lord provided this box, I took off the wheels and painted several coats of White enamel, and placed a simple wooden cross on the front, and it is perfect for my height, maybe not others, but for me, perfect, so amen, one thing at a time, in many different ways , the lords directing, blessing the ministry, this was a long time coming, and location three, what can I say, I am still amazed after the open vision the place was made available, and the four years of knowing what was needed has come to pass. The lord is good, and the lord will hear your prayers esp. If they are in faith, according to his will. That is key.

This ministry-Place is the lords we are but stewards, it is all the lords, every square inch will be, and is being set up to be, used for his glory as the stuff hits the fan soon, and before. Pray hard for us, so much to do, we still need a couple that feels lead to come and yoke with us. I may have found one man, a young man , that is still an unknown.

So starting after this post, I am taking the Muller approach, and only making needs known to the lord-no one else, and I wait in faith to see how the lord will meet the need.

On last thing about Muller, He said, ' the reason he only told the lord was, so when the need was met he would know it was all the lords doing. Amazing, may all in ministry learn from this and all the bride of Christ.

So from Truth and mercy ministry on line, this is the last request, watch, I am applying what I just wrote. I am exited to see , just how the lord will provide for the things in the ministry. Pay pal will always be on as that may be one way the lord meets needs, but without asking, wild, and 100% bible.

99.00 cheapest playable guitar needed not looking for anything fancy. I had to sell my two nylon string guitars and keyboard to raise money, they were toys, but sold, The Church and Coffee house ministry truly needs a acoustic guitar and that’s it. If any one has a used on, and would be willing to send it USPS P.O. box, that would be great, shipping alone, will not be cheap, the 99.00 one is a pick up and no other cost aside from tax.

Update July 29 I found a cheaper one that I used to play around 60.00

 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/rogue-ra-090-dreadnought-acoustic-guitar

Out Door Pulpit I made , Close up and at a distance, not bad for a man that knows little about building LOL. It will serve the out door ministries mentioned.

Have You Had A Spiritual shave? A Very Serious Message

Have You Had A Spiritual shave? A Very Serious Message

Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

In this text verse the answer is a NO, I hope. Why? The Hebrew word for diminish is;

H1639
גּרע
gâra‛
gaw-rah'
A primitive root; to scrape off; by implication to shave, remove, lessen or withhold: - abate, clip, (di-) minish, do (take) away, keep back, restrain, make small, withdraw.

We are not to add to, by shaving off certain bible truths we do not like, we can never diminish the word.

Gill:

Deuteronomy 12:32
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it,.... In the manner it is commanded and directed to; the laws of God, both as to matter and manner, were to be obeyed just as they were delivered: thou shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it; neither add any customs and rites of the Heathens to them, nor neglect anything enjoined on them, see Pro_30:6.

Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

I do not think in all the N.T. a stronger warning is given to us about adding or taking away from the revealed word. It is found in the last chapter of the book of Revelations.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

As you can see it is very dangerous to add or take away from the Holy word, but man does it all the time. I wonder, do these people understand how serious this is, adding man made doctrines, and man made commands to the lords Holy word. The bible does not require the touch of the human hand to add or take from it, or twist what it says.

The apostate church is very guilty of this UN-holy crime. I was moved by the Spirit as I meditated on this deep truth today. I see every day , another man, ministry, person , adding and tacking away from the bible. Most of what we see on Christian T.V. is 100-% man made false doctrine.

Today I wanted to write about love and mercy, but I could not, I have been filled with His presence, love, mercy and I wanted to write on this, but the spirit forbade me, all I could do was as Jude did, as we read.

Jud 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

Jud 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

To obey the lord and speak truth is not wanted now days, but so be it, we must say, and do what we are told it is that simple. I hope this little exhortation makes some think. It is very serious stuff so please think on this.

Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

In this text verse the answer is a NO, I hope. Why? The Hebrew word for diminish is;

H1639
גּרע
gâra‛

The Small Still Voice, A Prophetic Message For Today And The Hard Days Ahead

2Ki 1:1 And Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.

2Ki 1:2 And Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover of this sickness.

2Ki 1:3 But the angel of Jehovah said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it because there is no God in Israel, that ye go to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?

2Ki 1:4 Now therefore thus saith Jehovah, Thou shalt not come down from the bed whither thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.

2Ki 1:6 And they said unto him, There came up a man to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Is it because there is no God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed whither thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

2Ki 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

2Ki 1:11 And again he sent unto him another captain of fifty and his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

2Ki 1:12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

2Ki 1:13 And again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.

2Ki 1:14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with their fifties; but now let my life be precious in thy sight.

2Ki 1:15 And the angel of Jehovah said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

Meyer;

2 Kings 1:9-18

Consuming Fire

2Ki_1:9-18

An awful fate overtook the first two captains; but it must be noted that they were extremely violent and arrogant in their behavior and speech. The altered tone of the last captain wrought an instant alteration in the prophet’s attitude and response. That there was no personal malice in Elijah is clear from his willingness to accompany the third captain into the royal presence. Our Lord expressly cautioned His followers from attempting to imitate this episode. We belong to another dispensation, which savors of forbearance and meekness. See Luk_9:54.

On a former day Jezebel’s message made the prophet flee; but now he does not hesitate to pass through the crowded streets of the capital and to enter the palace of the king. Elijah was dwelling in the secret place of the Most High and standing before Jehovah, as aforetime. His faith was able to avail itself of the panoply of God. He quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, and out of weakness was made strong. Let us admire the loving forbearance of God who restores the wavering ones, brings them up from the grave, holds them as stars in His right hand, Rev_1:16, and uses them once more in His glorious service.

This message is not what you may think, I have said before, I heard some false watchmen, ask God to bring down fire on certain people, evil people, the new world order camp. I also said this was not the new dispensation, and the lord rebuked his own disciples for saying, 'shall we call fire from heaven to consume these ones' .

Luk 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

Luk 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Luk 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

We must never be an angry watchman, an angry Christian, against sin , yes, but not in anger to try and call fire from heaven. The two John and James were called the sons of thunder for reason and it shows here. It was not bad, they were just saying and referring to the story of our text, they believed it could, should be done. Thank the lord, I am not, and you are not God, or the world would probably already be gone. LOL.

The lord came, and still comes, to seek that which is lost, he comes for the one sheep that are astray, he comes to save, restore, give life. The lord wills that all men would be saved. This will never be the case, but it is the will of the lord.

In our text the message that points out to me is this, the prophet did not question the lord, no matter what he was told he acted and did not hesitate. It is good to be zealously effected for a good cause, the gospel. We must learn to listen to the small still voice and do what it says ASAP.

The lord has been teaching us this for the past few months, he said, ' My People, listen, I want you to learn to listen, discern my word, my small inner still voice, it will guide you, it will help you, I am speaking this way as never before, yet many are missing my word, my will, they are looking for fireworks and I am speaking in a whisper to your heart and soul, listen the lord says, learn to listen to my small still voice, and you will see now, and in the coming days this will be one of the main ways I will guide you, and lead you to my will and safety',

After we had that word given I tried it, and so far, every time the discerned small still voice comes, I act on it and so far 100% spot on, the lord was not kidding. It must be developed as the mind can be deceitful, one must first learn if it is a human thought, fleshy will, or the Holy Spirit. You will have it in the bible, confirmed . But after you hear, you will not have time to grab a bible , you may be in an odd place, no bible at hand, but the Holy Spirit will bring all things to your remembrance.

How do we develop this ? Reading the word, constant fellowship with the lord, walking in the spirit, and you will know that you know, you can not wait and say, I will pray on this or that, sometimes, other times yes, I am talking about hearing from the lord and direction needed on the spot, example.

1. 'Do not go down that street.'

2. 'See that person, they need to hear about me, go to them and speak.'

3. 'No ! not right, but left, now.'

4. 'This person is not one of my disciples be warned, be careful, say nothing.'

5. 'Pray for this person right now, their in a situation'.

6. 'It is time to flee'.

7. 'It is time to close the door and stay'.

I could go on, but this is what the lord said, obedience to his guidance ASAP. Clarke brings this out very good concerning our text.

2 Kings 1:15

And the angel of the Lord said - Go down with him - This is an additional proof that Elijah was then acting under particular inspirations: he had neither will nor design of his own. He waited to know the counsel, declare the will, and obey the command, of his God.

And he arose, and went down - He did not even regard his personal safety or his life; he goes without the least hesitation to the king, though he had reason to suppose he would be doubly irritated by his prediction, and the death of one hundred of his men. But with all these consequences he had nothing to do; he was the ambassador of the King eternal, and his honor and life were in the hands of his Master.

Gill says;

and be not afraid of him; of King Ahaziah, whom he might fear, because of the message he had sent him, that he should die of that sickness, and for turning back his messengers to the god of Ekron, and for destroying his two captains and their fifties; nor of his mother Jezebel, who had threatened his life for killing her prophets:

and he arose, and went down with him unto the king; boldly and courageously, not fearing his wrath; so that the captain not only had his life and the life of his men spared, but answered the end of his message also.

You can see why the prophet could have fear, the two military company’s killed by fire, and old Jezebel was still around. I love this, just a while ago, he fled to a cave, he was afraid of this wicked women, and right after another fire from the sky miracle, odd.
What all this comes down to is this.

No matter what, we must heed and do what the lord says, we must learn to listen to his voice and act on it fast, other times we are told to , do nothing, wait, pray, and than we are to move. It is hard to say any of this in a seven part, 'how to obey the voice of God, method'.

It is different, but what the lord wants all to read is this, now I am speaking by my small still voice, cultivate it, use it, learn, and watch, you will see this is a word from the lord, you will not go the wrong way, the sheep, the true sheep, will only follow the voice of their true shepherd. Try this and see, I did, and wow, it is from the lord, for me at least, and asap action needed, the small still voice given, I did not hesitate, I just took a right not a left, and a divine encounter happened, you will see.

To those who have ears to hear, and eyes to see, you will see and hear this is of the Spirit, it is simple, but deep, it may keep you alive in the hard days ahead, and it will guide you in your life, every step of the way.

Guest Writer- John R. Davis Mo, St. -Has Your Light Stopped Shining?

I first want to say a big thanks that someone responded to the call to submit an article, also I meet this brother a while back, he sent a box of new books, the Wilkerson’s ones I mentioned, Austin T. Sparks and some new bibles, I already gave away, by Jimmy Swaggart with a built in commentary, also get this, now I hope this provokes some to good works. This brother sent this message scanned and snail mail by USPS, that shows a lot. I am moved by his snail mail letters, books and help, if someone can take the time to write via snail mail bravo. I say a big amen and thanks to brother John. Now to others who can simply send a message by email, I hope this mans actions will provoke others to do the same, snail mail or how easy is it to send a word by email? I am writing the message myself and posting it from his letter and un-edited.

I crave, pray, hope for involvement, to date very little, still no emails about bible questions, needs for prayer, nothing aside from sister Sue, and our new board member that did the great degrees and templates, for the free bible school. Is anyone out there?

I have to ask, as zero emails of late, no words nothing ? So be it. I hope this gets someone reaction, almost never any comments, The lord told me, to keep working the site as the one hearts are out there, and people are reading , I see the stats. I was the last 12 days setting up the large yard sale, got up at 5 am had one hour worship and the word, and the rest 7-7 pm the yard sale, and by the grace of the lord continue on posting messages. This message you are about to read is comforting, but some conviction, may it speak to hearts today.

I have a prayer request myself, please pray for this ministry, that’s it, serious prayer as we are starting to do more outreach and face to face ministry, and setting up the home mission for the hard days to come, and the days we live in today.

Now the message.

Last night my L.E.D. Lamp that I had been using stopped working, so I took the back cover off and there was corrosion on the contact terminals. This had happened several times before, and I was able to fix it.

I took the batteries out, and noticed that there was a lot of rust on half of the terminals. I tried moving the batteries around, and then I took the batteries out, and put them back in, but nothing would make it work.

So, I just took it and threw it into the trash, knowing that I had a brand new one downstairs still in the box.

The next morning, after breakfast, I went to throw something into the trash can, when low and behold, the little lamp was at the bottom of the trash, just shining away, just as bright as ever ! I was shocked ! I thought it was broke, and that it would never shine again. But God knew it would shine again ! Then it hit me, that isn't it wonderful that the Lord does not throw us away when we sometimes stop shining!

Just like the corrosion on my L.E.D. Lamp, we can become corroded when we allow the corrupt influences of this world to attach itself to us.

Sin and corrosion are very much alike. The effects generally take place over a period of time. Sin is corrosion that gradually eats away at our lives, and at the same time deceiving us into thinking we can handle it, and get by with it.

Before you know it you are trapped, and from this trap of sin, there is no way out except to look to the cross of Jesus Christ. Just like my little lamp that wouldn't shine because of corrosion, our light cannot shine with the corrosion of this world in our lives.

Has your light stopped shining? Do you feel like life has thrown you into the trashcan? Satan and this world will use you and throw you away, but God won't ! No matter what you have done, or how great the sin, God is willing to forgive you, if you will just turn to Him, and ask Him for forgiveness. Call out to Jesus today, and let Him lift you out of the trashcan, and make you a shining light to others. He can do it you know...if you will just ask him.

David Wilkersons Devotion-TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS

by David Wilkerson

[May 19, 1931 – April 27, 2011]

The Christian life is not a life of clear sailing. Every believer is going to have bad days, no matter how holy he or she may be. Most Christians know Jesus isn't  just  a " good times only " savior. He is with us not only when things are going well, but during our bad days also.

When hard times hit us, he doesn't disappear, saying, " I'll be back when you've got it all worked out " No, He's faithful and caring through every season.

The apostle Paul addresses this when he writes, " We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not us" 2 Cor 4:7

The treasure Paul refers to is the knowledge and presence of Jesus Christ.

The Greek word Paul uses for earthen is " frail clay," meaning 'weak, easily broken, easily tempted' He is saying, " Yes , we hold Jesus presence in our very bodies, but we are weak, easily tempted and easily broken.

The fact is, we all suffer what the bible calls ' infirmities'.  For many Christians, a common infirmity  of life is a frail constitution or poor health.

Paul spoke of Timothy's frequent illnesses, calling them ' often infirmities ' 1 Tim 5:23.
The Greek word infirmity here means, ' sick;y, without strength, feeble of body or mind.'

Yet there are other infirmities besides physical ones, and they are just as difficult to handle. In my opinion, infirmities of the mind are probably the most widespread. I'm talking about those unexplainable times when your feelings betray you and play tricks on your mind. Let me explain.

Guilt, fear and anxiety are all infirmities of the mind. You might be haunted because of your past , or because of some sin that still clings to your life. These infirmities cannot but help affect your feelings.

If you are undergoing this kind of trial, you must understand that you are not being un-spiritual while enduring such attacks. You are still a child of your  heavenly father, and He won't let you fight alone. He will send the Holy Spirit to chase away your doubts. Don't try and argue with the devil, because you can't prove anything to him. Instead, when the next attack comes, run to your heavenly father. Then stand still-with patience and hope

The Psalm Of Jonah- What It Teaches Us Today

Jon 2:1 Then Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish's belly.

Jon 2:2 And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I, And thou heardest my voice.

Jon 2:3 For thou didst cast me into the depth, in the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me; All thy waves and thy billows passed over me.

Jon 2:4 And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes; Yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

Jon 2:5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul; The deep was round about me; The weeds were wrapped about my head.

Jon 2:6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed upon me for ever: Yet hast thou brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.

Jon 2:7 When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, into thy holy temple.

Jon 2:8 They that regard lying vanities Forsake their own mercy.

Jon 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah.

Jon 2:10 And Jehovah spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Clarke;

Jonah 2
This chapter (except the first verse and the last, which make a part of the narrative) contains a beautiful prayer or hymn, formed of those devout thoughts which Jonah had in the belly of the great fish, with a thanksgiving for his miraculous deliverance.

In Jonah we have a short eight verse psalm, a song, a prayer, thus a psalm. One of the oldest in the bible. It says a lot to us, lets look.

I want to first point out the last verse, not part of the psalm, but the end of it.

Jon 2:10 And Jehovah spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Gill;

Jonah 2:10
And the Lord spake unto the fish,.... Or gave orders to it; he that made it could command it; all creatures are the servants of God, and do his will; what he says is done; he so ordered it by his providence, that this fish should come near the shore, and be so wrought upon by his power, that it could not retain Jonah any longer in its belly. It may be rendered (h), "then the Lord spake", &c. after Jonah had finished his prayer, or put up those ejaculations, the substance of which is contained in the above narrative:

Clarke;

Jonah 2:10

And the Lord spake unto the fish - That is, by his influence the fish swam to shore, and cast Jonah on the dry land. So the whole was a miracle from the beginning to the end; and we need not perplex ourselves to find out literal interpretations; such as, “When Jonah was thrown overboard he swam for his life, earnestly praying God to preserve him from drowning; and by his providence he was thrown into a place of fish - a fishing cove, where he was for a time entangled among the weeds, and hardly escaped with his life; and when safe, he composed this poetic prayer, in metaphorical language, which some have wrongly interpreted, by supposing that he was swallowed by a fish; when דג dag should have been understood, as a place of fish, or fishing creek,” etc.

Now I say the original has no such meaning in the Bible: and this gloss is plainly contrary to the letter of the text; to all sober and rational modes of interpretation; and to the express purpose for which God appears to have wrought this miracle, and to which Jesus Christ himself applies it. For as Jonah was intended for a sign to the Jews of the resurrection of Christ, they were to have the proof of this semiosis, in his lying as long in the heart of the earth as the prophet was in the belly of the fish, and all interpretations of this kind go to deny both the sign and the thing signified. Some men, because they cannot work a miracle themselves, can hardly be persuaded that God can do it.

The text, and the use made of it by Christ, most plainly teach us that the prophet was literally swallowed by a fish, by the order of God; and that by the Divine power he was preserved alive, for what is called three days and three nights, in the stomach of the fish; and at the conclusion of the above time that same fish was led by the unseen power of God to the shore, and there compelled to eject the prey that he could neither kill nor digest.

And how easy is all this to the almighty power of the Author and Sustainer of life, who has a sovereign, omnipresent, and energetic sway in the heavens and in the earth. But foolish man will affect to be wise; though, in such cases, he appears as the recently born, stupid offspring of the wild ass. It is bad to follow fancy, where there is so much at stake. Both ancients and moderns have grievously trifled with this prophet’s narrative; merely because they could not rationally account for the thing, and were unwilling (and why?) to allow any miraculous interference.

Note: Many to this day still think this event never happened, it was just an allegory, or a story, but Jesus referred to the prophet and his three days in the belly of the fish, as Jesus said, l'ike Jonah spent three days in the belly of the fish, so the son of God, will spend three days in death'. Jesus spoke it, that settles it, I take the words of Jesus over a theologian, or non-believer amen.

This last verse is a deliverance, and answer to the prophets prayer, repentance, the lord is moved by repentance, he can hear us no matter how far we have sunk. Sometimes we must be in a bad situation, it gets our attention, and necessity teaches us to pray. King David said the same repentant words many times in the Psalms. A person after the lords heart is not marked by great victories, but great humbleness, and repentance over sin and obedience, repentance from the heart will get the lords ear faster than most things in life, this is why we are allowed to go through our valleys of the shadow of death, our stormy times, our afflictions, he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, we suffer, we recover. All this starts with repentance and in repentance we find mercy, deliverance and the very word and moving of the lord on our behalf.

The first verse of Jonah's psalm, his prayer of repentance is,

Jon 2:2 And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me;..........

We are allowed affliction , it serves as a catalyst to repent and turn back to the lord, and we read, the lord answered the prophet. He will answer all of us when we come in brokenness and humility, we have the word on this.

Jon 2:4 And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes; Yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

Notice, the prophet said the truth, but as in the psalms we read the same, a person is in affliction, they sinned, yet they knew where to turn, and they knew they would be heard. Restoration is what our lord is all about, all to often many put off repenting far to long and thus suffer far to long, we are not to resist-fight against the chastisement of the lord, get over it and on with it, you and I know what to do, but why wait so long. I know of people who spent years kicking against the pricks, this is not a person after the lords heart, but after their own heart in pride, pride commeth before the fall, humility is essential in all victory. It is essential in getting our lords ears. Once we get the lords ear, you can believe he will take the needed action.

Why do so many wait so long to repent to the lord, or make a matter right with someone in the body of Christ. PRIDE. There can be no pride in the true believer, if so, judgment is at your heels.

I would rather, after conviction , quickly say as David, 'Create in me a clean heart O lord, and renew a right spirit within me'. I want to be clean, and in a right spirit, not a wrong one.

We all know the story of this short Prophetical book. It is a look into the future of the lords grace, salvation to the gentiles, all of nation repented, they even put sackcloth on the animals, now that is a great awakening.

We see the lord always at work in the humble repentant heart, also while repenting we must remember where to turn, and that the lord loves us, for the lord loves all who he chastises. It brings fruit, restoration, a new outlook on life.

If this is you reader, do not wait one more second to repent, get a right spirit, and a clean heart, it was all provided for us by the cross, the cross settles the fact of the true, deep love the lord has for us, He gave his only son, out of love for all of us, this should not be taken lightly, it should be something we understand, and something we practice and believe by faith, the finished work of the cross. The cross settled the whole issue, it is why we are on this planet, to embrace the cross and to point others to it. We all have our psalm, our prayer, when one of a plea for help, repentance, deliverance, understand the lord hears. We have access to the holy of holies 24/7, so let us approach in the veil and find help in our time of need, even if the need was all our fault.

N.T. Grace , But Still N.T. Laws -A Look At Events That Happened In N.T. Grace, May We Never Take The Lords Grace Lightly

Act 12:22 And the people shouted, saying, The voice of a god, and not of a man.

Act 12:23 And immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Act 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

Act 5:2 and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Act 5:4 While it remained, did it not remain thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thy power? How is it that thou hast conceived this thing in thy heart? thou has not lied unto men, but unto God.

Act 5:5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost: and great fear came upon all that heard it.

Act 5:6 And the young men arose and wrapped him round, and they carried him out and buried him.

Act 5:7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

Act 5:8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yea, for so much.

Act 5:9 But Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to try the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them that have buried thy husband are at the door, and they shall carry thee out.

Act 5:10 And she fell down immediately at his feet, and gave up the ghost: and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.

Act 5:11 And great fear came upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.

Rom 11:21 for if God spared not the natural branches, neither will he spare thee.

Rom 11:22 Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God's goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

2Ti 2:3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

2Ti 2:4 No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
2Ti 2:5 And if also a man contend in the games, he is not crowned, except he have contended lawfully.

N.T. Grace, Not Law, It is all salvation by faith alone, salvation is free, but discipleship costs us everything, we are not under the old Mosaic Covenant, see Galatians, but we are still given N.T. Commands, the chief one being love, this fulfills the law, but in order to secure our salvation, we must take heed to our self, our doctrine, and be aware of False teachers, false prophets and false doctrine. We are told there is a crown of righteousness, this is awarded in glory, but to the ones who have followed the lord, the teachings of The Holy Spirit By His Apostles and Other writers of the N.T. The ones who do not deny Jesus, but are willing to give their life for Him.

Let us look at a few key words to start this message.

Strive lawfully -Contend Lawfully Greek- 2Tim 2:5 Forst Some Commentaries.

Barnes;

Yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully - In conformity with the rules of the games. See Grotius, in loc. No one could obtain the prize unless he had complied with all the laws of the games, and had thus given to those with whom he contended, a fair opportunity to succeed. “In those contests, he who transgressed the rules in the least matter, not only failed of the prize, even though the apparent victor, but was sometimes disgraced and punished.” Pictorial Bible. So the apostle here represents the Christian minister as engaged in a struggle or conflict for the crown. He says that he could not hope to win it unless he should comply with all the laws by which it is conferred; unless he should subdue every improper propensity, and make an effort like that evinced by the combatants at the Olympic games; compare the notes at 1Co_9:26-27.

VWS;

2 Timothy 2:5

Strive for masteries (ἀθλῇ)

N.T.o. olxx. Paul uses ἀγωνίζεσθαι (see 1Co_9:25), which appears also in 1Ti_4:10; 1Ti_6:12; 2Ti_4:7.

For masteries is superfluous. Rev. contend in the games; but the meaning of the verb is not limited to that. It may mean to contend in battle; and the preceding reference to the soldier would seem to suggest that meaning here. The allusion to crowning is not decisive in favor of the Rev. rendering.

Among the Romans crowns were the highest distinction for service in war. The corona triumphalis of laurel was presented to a triumphant general; and the corona obsidionalis was awarded to a general by the army which he had saved from a siege or from a shameful capitulation. It was woven of grass which grew on the spot, and was also called corona graminea.

The corona myrtea or ovatio, the crown of bay, was worn by the general who celebrated the lesser triumph or ovatio. The golden corona muralis, with embattled ornaments, was given for the storming of a wall; and the corona castrensis or vallaris, also of gold, and ornamented in imitation of palisades, was awarded to the soldier who first climbed the rampart of the enemy's camp.

Is he not crowned (οὐ στεφανοῦται)

The verb only here and Heb_2:7, Heb_2:9. For στέφανος crown, see on Rev_2:9; see on Rev_4:4; see on 1Pe_5:4. Paul has στέφανον λαβεῖν, 1Co_9:25.

Lawfully (νομίμως)

Pasto. See 1Ti_1:8. According to the law of military service which requires him to abandon all other pursuits. So the law of the ministerial office requires that the minister shall not entangle himself with secular pursuits. If he fulfills this requirement, he is not to trouble himself about his worldly maintenance, for it is right that he should draw his support from his ministerial labor: nay, he has the first right to its material fruits.

Greek Lawfully;

G3545
νομίμως
nomimōs
nom-im'-oce
Adverb from a derivative of G3551; legitimately (specifically agreeably to the rules of the lists): - lawfully.

Next, Concerning The Ruler who took praise from men and did not give it to the lord,

Act 12:23 And immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Next concerning Lying, esp. to the Holy Spirit, Ananias, with Sapphira, they were both struck dead, but wait...... we are talking about the N.T. not the O.T. so what gives? How can this be explained in a non-legalistic way.

Man attempts to do, add to, work hard for the lord, stern, hard on self ,and others, but this does nothing, for after having done all that is required of us, we are no more than un- profitable and unworthy servants, yes after having done all.

It matters not how much you do, you can not earn Gods love, that was settled on the cross, but to obtain eternal salvation we read the word IF, in almost every promise, it is the IF, that means Heed, and so we have a job to do in cooperation with the power of the holy Spirit to live holy, we are told flee youthful lusts, look a good run is better than a lousy stand, Joseph and Pottifers wife, she tried to seduce him, he ran, he did not stand around. We are told to love, so we must love, we are told to be holy and so we strive, contend lawfully, 'for everything that pertains to life and godliness has been give to us'.

It is a lazy Christian that is always overcome, depression, licking their wounds, asking prayer on a prayer chain for a in -grown toe nail, yes they hurt, I hope you get my point, we are to bear our own burdens, know when to be silent and seek only our lord one on one, the Holy Spirit does the work, gives the power, we can not do one thing, but obey the word, work with the Spirit, and work with the lords revealed word, and Holy Character, we must deny self, die daily and be renewed, every single day.

It is all love, grace, mercy, but it is also a willingness to follow our lord where He leads, never question our lord, walk in holy fear, working out our OWN salvation in fear and trembling, so yes it is N.T. grace, we are forgiven over and over, but we read, ' by now ye ought to be teachers, but you are need for someone to teach you, giving you milk, not meat' This is not the way Christian growth should be, we should see some progress, some over coming of besetting sin, and as 12 step groups say to addicts, 'you will never stop using until you hit bottom'.

We come to the place where we have hit bottom, we have come to the utter end of our self, in this we see the cross of Christ, the love of the Father, we must come to the end of self, stop working and thinking we must do this or that to have more love from our lord, it does not work that way, this is N.T. Grace, we are on a road of learning that only ends when we are in glory, we must strive for masteries, obey the bible, and after having done all to stand...stand.

We are all a work in progress, but saint of the lord, there should be inner and visible progress, and not a cop out that we are only human, We can in grace, by the Holy Spirit, grow in maturity and become fruitful Christians, one day at a time, one step at a time, but always by obeying, and running that we may obtain, knowing when to flee a situation so we do not fall into old besetting sin, your day of deliverance can be today, if you want it, do you?

Are you tiered yet of following man made laws, traditions, doctrines, are you seeing yet you can do nothing without Christ, I pray so, and I pray this word speaks to the ones that need to read it
