Published on Nov 2, 2014

Dr. Richard Schulze shares his healing testimony at Modern Manna's Health and Healing Crusade. A powerful presentation on natural healing, detoxification, and regeneration using herbs, hydrotherapy, vegan diet, exercise, fresh air, sunshine, and more.

Amazing video.
As A minister, I must say this is the first video I have seen that a herbalist teaches as I do, I am not a calm, new age type herbalist, I am a minister number one, and herbalist Number two. I also wear a tie and many audios and videos I am doing is like this almost like a sermon with some excitement and
waliking back and forth.
This for me was a new and very surprising find. I am a radical Christian and a radical herbalist. Take a listen at a very different way of a Christian herbalist in a Church talk of herbs. wow.

You can heal any disease, this hit me due to my wife's illness, many, and some of my own more minor ones. Christians watch this, very different and I LOVE IT.

Great website is at,

2 Whose Glory-REPOST The Lord Said Post This One Again-2014

This message was given to me back on Dec 28 2014, so it speaks of the holiday season.

1Co 10:31  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1Co 10:32  Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

1Co 10:33  Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

I want to look first at vrs 33, as if one did not know any better they may think, Paul was a man pleaser, he was anything but.
How do we apply this lesson, this truth, what does it mean. Lets first look at Clarkes commentary.

1 Corinthians 10:33

Even as I please all men - Act as I do: forgetting myself, my own interests, convenience, ease, and comfort, I labor for the welfare of others; and particularly that they may be saved. How blessed and amiable was the spirit and conduct of this holy man!

We read in the word Paul said when he was with a Jew he was a Jew, when he was with a Gentile he was as a Gentile, that all may become saved, he was not a politician, he was wise as a serpent, I won you with guile, not deceit, but wisdom, as a trapper hides his net, anything to catch all men's hearts for Christ.

Clarke puts is short, sweet, and simple, it simply means, Paul forgot self and concentrated on others. This is very practical in the holiday season, esp. with youth, it is not about self it is about the lord. Christmas is a pagan holiday, Hanukkah is not, but added later as a non Mosaic feast.

Feasts of lights, the Catholics saw the Jews celebrating the feast of lights and said, hay we want our own feast, light a tree and make some cash, that is all it is about, money.

Forgetting self and helping others is the best way to spend the holiday, work in a food kitchen for the homeless, give a gift to someone in need you may not know, show love, mercy, compassion, we are all sinners saved by grace.

Vrs 31, whatever we eat, drink, or whatever we DO, Do all to the glory of the lord, so my question is, are you giving the lord glory in all you do? We all make mistakes, and sin, I am not talking about perfection, I am talking about daily self sacrifice, daily soul wining, daily anything, is it for the lords glory, or yours?

Let us think on this, in the holiday season,  and  everyday, let us strive to lift up Jesus, let us strive to please others and not our self, it brings joy, happiness, and inner peace, a gift is not a gift , until it is given away, what is your gift, are you using it? If not, its not a gift until you use it, until you give it away, what a time to give your gift to another that all may be blessed and edified.

When A Prophecy Is Given There Are Times We Must Co-Operate With The Prophecy To Do Something To Bring It To Pass

Zec 6:15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

Gill Says:

and build in the temple of the Lord; upon the foundation Christ; and be useful in building up others, either by private conversation, or by public preaching the word; it is not said, they shall "build the temple of the Lord"; that is Christ's work; but "build in" it:

and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you; that is, the Prophet Zechariah, who was sent to the Jews to declare these things to them; or, as the Targum adds, "to prophesy unto you": which they would fully know, and be assured of, when these things should have their accomplishment:

and this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God; not that the fulfillment of the above predictions depended upon their obedience; but when they should in the latter day obey the Gospel of Christ, or "the word of the Lord" their "God", as the Targum paraphrases it; then this would come to pass, that they should know that the prophet had his mission from the Lord.

In the N.T. Jesus made sure he did things in line to fulfill the Messianic prophecies, example, when Jesus spoke in Parables it says he did so, as the prophecy said he would, other places Jesus said, I must do this, Go there, not go there, in order to make sure the Devil could not mess around and try to change any prophecy. The lord was God in flesh, and the Devil could not hinder any of it, but our lord was avoiding UN-needed hassles, so Satan could not get in the way, and why? Our lord had a mission, only three years to get it done, and he was focused and on the move.

In the Gospel Of Mark, Called the Pentecostal Gospel, why , who knows, it shows Jesus always on the move, the word and Jesus immediately did... that word is used many, many times as Marks Gospel, the first one written, was showing Jesus as being on a mission, active and always on the move.

This is how we should be. I am not saying get a false prophecy about your life and try and bring it to fruition, I am saying, co-operate with it, do not resist the bad, the hard, the perplexity that comes with it being fulfilled, as we can not change a true word concerning us we get in prayer no matter what, do to predestination, it's in the Bible, hence I am non-denominational. It and other things are in the word , and we must find balance in doctrine, esp. Doctrines of men, not orthodox revealed doctrine, all real Christians believe in these, and they are to stand as they always have.

I have learned, when the lord gave me a hard word, as the 2010 prophecy, I mention a lot, it was not an easy word, a very hard word, of what would happen, and to date, all but one thing has, and sadly that one thing still may happen. I did not try and get out of any of the hard times, that I was told they would be, I had to co-operate, not manipulate, to see this hard word come to pass.

I have said, " If it is a real Prophetic word, it will never pamper your flesh, nor lift you up, only Jesus", I have also said, " The holy spirit will bring needed comfort when it is a need, but he does not pamper our flesh, he is a respecter of no man, no one is special, no one has an inside track with the lord. The true Bride of Christ as a body does, but never a single person, you sin, you pay a price, you reap what you sow, the lord does not over look, or wink at anyone’s sin, he simply will not do it.

So, has the lord spoken to you yet, are you getting your own direction by the Bible, the small still voice, If so and you know it, my message is NOW it is time to act on it, get up and walk, you must walk in it, this is co-operating with the word given you, if not, our text says, it will not come to pass, you will miss the perfect will of the lord and be in his second, or third will for you, his perfect will is always best, no matter how hard, no matter how far, Jesus is the only star, amen.

The Cry Of Faith And Trust Gives Supernatural Results-One Against One Million

2Ch 14:9 And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.

2Ch 14:10 Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
2Ch 14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

2Ch 14:12 So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

2Ch 14:13 And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.

2Ch 14:14 And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.

2Ch 14:15 They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.

The key verse is verse 11, Asa Cried unto the lord, his cry was not one of complaint, but a cry of victory, trust, and the lord is moved by our faith and trust, nothing hinders us more than a lack of faith and trust. In this case it was the crying out, in Hebrew, that is to cry out loud with a loud voice. This crying out, the lord does not need us to be loud, he sees and knows all, it is we who need to cry aloud and declare our unwavering trust in the lord when facing a battle.

This was no small army that came against them, the number was 900,000 footmen, and 100,000 horsemen, that is a one million man army, no small battle facing them. Yet this one million man army was defeated by many less Jews, why, how. No matter how big your problem is, no matter how tall that Giant, no matter how high that wall, no matter how things look coming against you, the cry of Victory to the one with all power to save by many, or few.

The few are us, just a few, not many, but our lord only needs one. That one person could be you, one person to stand up and cry out the shout of faith, trust, hope and the result of just one person doing this, can take a city, so if it can take a city, it certainly can take down a Giant, a wall, a mountain, an army of one million.

One million problems, the world has more than that, for there are around seven billion humans on this planet, that is a whole lot of millions, a whole lot of troubles, a lot of pain, and yet one out of the seven billion, just one, can change everything, just cry out, we need to shout out once in the while, the shout of victory is needed to build our faith and display our 100% trust in the one who is over the seven billion on earth, give it a try today and watch the one million man problem fall, you will plunder the enemy, take back what he took, your love ones, you finances, your soul. One shout against one million, with God- the odds are in our favor, think on this

Who Are You Taking Advice From?

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Many of us with out fully realizing it have been taking counsel and advice from many sources, The news, economists, politicians, well meaning family members, and other people who are not saved.

Like the song says “whos report will you believe, I will believe in the report of the Lord”.

Than there are those who are taking advice from astrologers, fortune tellers,  false prophetic web site's,numerology, on and on, there is no end to ungodly counsel.

To be blessed that is happy as the Greek reads,
From H833; happiness; only in masculine plural construction as interjection, how happy!: - blessed, happy.
Happy and blessed simple enough, but the word that eh'-sher is taken from brings out the full meaning of the word blessed hear and you will see why who you get counsel from or advice is so important.

אשׁר אשׁר
'âshar 'âshêr
aw-shar', aw-share'
A primitive root; to be straight (used in the widest sense, especially to be level, right, happy); figuratively to go forward, be honest, prosper: - (call, be) bless (-ed, happy), go, guide, lead, relieve.
Notice the underlined portions, to be straight, level, right. The CR hear would naturally be.
Heb 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

To have a Godly walk, to run the race according to Gods will, we must first have a straight course, level ground, unobstructed, by sin, self and others advice and counsel. Only than can we go on in the blessedness of going forward, in honesty and Godly prosperity of soul and service.
Guide, Lead, relieve, these are the things that Godly counsel and advice prepare and produce for us. Words of Guidance, leading,(direction) reveal, by proper application of the bible in knowledge and wisdom.

Now hear is a bit of a twist and something to think about.

In the text verse it said the counsel of the ungodly, in context this means those that are not saved or are wolves in sheep's clothing.
A back-slidden Christian in compromise, a minister, Pastor's living a unholy life, in pride, self will, his agenda, his program and his indoctrination and cubical of devised theology.
So, hears something to think about when listening to ANYONE'S counsel or advice. This is important as you can be lead astray easily if you are looking to say, your Pastor. You may put him on a pedestal, but you may not know what he does in secret, his heart, his sin, his compromise, prayerlessness and lack of study of Gods word.

Sadly I have heard hundreds over the years come for counsel, comfort from a bad experience they had while sitting under the ministry of one that was tyrannical or controlling. Many Ministers are both of these and it is sad.

I have seen many web sites devoted just to this one matter, helping wounded sheep bruised by tyrants and dictators. I have ministered side by side as an asst. Pastor only to see these men act in such an ungodly manner and trying to bruise me! I had to step down, all their counsel and advice had only bad effects, as I have said ,'what can you give away what you do not have'?

All ministers need head the advice the Apostle Peter gave.

1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
Ministers are not to LORD over God's Heritage, but are to be examples to the flock.
Read the Greek for a fully pitcher of the word Lord over,
From G2596 and G2961; to lord against, that is, control, subjugate: - exercise dominion over (lordship), be lord over, overcome.
Sadly most ministers do not read, or refuse to head these words of God. No man of God, no Pastor, deacon, elder, teacher are to have a spirit of Control over you, or exercise dominion over you, overcome you with a harsh temperament. They are to preach the whole counsel of God in Mercy and truth, mercy and compassion are needed in these hard times.
From such ministers or denominations flee as you will not get any good Godly advice from such men.
So, just because you want good Godly counsel, many go to their pastors and this is normal, but if he is not a humble, Godly, loving example, simply know this is not the place to get your counsel for indeed they are living and ministering in ungodliness.

Christian counselors who have been schooled in Ungodly counseling text book's and Professors will give a light word with no substance. Professional so called Christian counselors are learning things that are not biblical.

Some courses I had to take, called Pastoral counseling and conflict management, these were truly bible based.

But I know personally Christian counselors and have seen the curriculum they are required to study and much of it is far from Christian. It is new age and humanistic diagnostic's like the bible of intake counselors and counselors themselves the famed DSM 4, this system of diagnostics is rooted in 100% humanistic doctrine. So again you may have your ears tickled and hear them talk about your low self esteem, dear Lord, we are to have a biblical low self esteem and a Godly fear, we are to be associated with being Born again and co heirs with Christ ,our Identity is in Christ and not self.
Self esteem is all about you, and can cause you to be egotistical , self centered and finally proud the original sin. You will know a tree by its fruit.
In the tuition free Bible college, in the M.C.C. Degree, it is a must for the student to learn about the DSM, it is required, but in the college anyone that would make it to this level is told what is what on the DSM

Have discernment and the word of God richly in you or you will be getting bad counsel and advice over and over. You will find yourself not going forward but backward, not being blessed from a voice saying this is the way walk ye in it.
In context, did you know that verse speaks of Godly teachers? Divide the word properly.

Beware of Christians who's advice is based on emotions only and words they say God told them to tell you.

True N.T. Prophecy is to confirm something God has already told you and should not be something that is so big a revelation you never knew it or thought of it.
I have heard many in the church give advice to someone and say God has told you to divorce your spouse and marry so and so, or to someone single ,some say God told me you are to marry so and so, usually a single friend. LOL.

I kid you not and this is a classic in Charismatic churches. Again some one may say ,God told me you are to be a missionary in Istanbul, and you are so shocked you are dumbfounded, why, IT'S NOT FROM GOD. Wake up and put on the full Armour of God the Armour of God is needed when seeking out counsel and advice believe me.

I have seen countless Christians make ship wreck of their faith because they headed wrong, UN biblical and ungodly counsel.
Remember the Lord Jesus is our Great Physician and mighty counselor.
Many times people go from person to person until they hear what they want to hear, try going to God and his word, pray, fast and cry out to God, I am 100% sure you can never go wrong this way as the Holy spirit will lead you and guide you into all truth. Do you want truth in mercy or a fairy tail or a false prophetic word, that is what you must ask yourself, Do I really want God to lead and counsel me or do I really already have my mind made up.

Remember as proverbs says 'the plans of the heart belong to man, but the Lord directs his steps'.
Also beware even the most noble well meaning Christian may give bad advice, Remember when Jesus was talking about his crucifixion and Peter replied 'may it never be Lord' and Jesus turned around and said to Peter.
"Get thee behind me Satan".
So even a disciple of Christ can be speaking, not intentionally in behalf of Satan himself.

Lastly do not think for one minute that the best advice comes from Christians who are all set materialistically, they may be the farthest from God. Worldly success many times has nothing to do with Godly success.
So, who are you getting your advice from?
I hope this post gave you some guidance and food for thought.
One note, there are many Good, Godly pastors, ministers, elders, deacons that indeed can give you some good advice, this article is not intended to make you paranoid to ask and confide in a real, holy Christian that leads by example OK just avoid the iron fist.

I Had A Different Message-The Lord Changed That -The Beatitude Of The Hurting

I was going to do a post on Dan Ch One, the lord changed that. This spoke to my heart, I know this message is for someone.

I am deeply moved by the many emails I get around the world, it seems so many of the bride of Christ are suffering greatly.

It is times like this I do not know what to say, but , Pray.
I hope you are spoken to, and maybe by this short word you will feel the power of the lord, His quietness, His Peace, His love, may this be yours today.

Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

This word morn in the Greek is a sorrow so strong you can not conceal it. This is proven out by the Greek meaning;

Matthew 5:4

They that mourn (πενθοῦντες)
Signifying grief manifested; too deep for concealment. Hence it is often joined with κλαίειν, to weep audibly (Mar_16:10; Jam_4:9).

Matthew 5:4

They that mourn (hoi penthountes). This is another paradox. This verb “is most frequent in the lxx for mourning for the dead, and for the sorrows and sins of others” (McNeile). “There can be no comfort where there is no grief” (Bruce). Sorrow should make us look for the heart and hand of God and so find the comfort latent in the grief.

Have you been at wits end? You do not know why the heavens seem brass? Suffering has made you start to question the lords love for you.

This is normal, it is the way of the cross, but we find life in death, we find the power of the Resurrection. This is not one time year , it is daily.

Have you drank bitter waters? The rivers of sorrow? It will come to and end, the lord knows his plans for you and he hears your every prayer.

I pray today reader, you are touched by the lord, you get a gaze into his eyes, and in prayer with tears dropping down, you will find true comfort in your morning. He hears.

Fear Of Conspiracy-By Pastor DR. Robbert Bannister

Fear of Conspiracy

(Isa 8:11) For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

(Isa 8:12) "You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

(Isa 8:13) "It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.

(Isa 8:14) "Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

(Isa 8:15) "Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."

In these seemingly simple five verses the prophet Isaiah was instructed by God to speak to the people of Judah. Upon quick examination of this material the message seems clear enough. Thus it becomes all too easy to give them a cursory glance-hence one can miss the completeness of the message which these verses mean for us today. We shall attempt to break down some of the commonly used words in these verses into their original Hebrew definitions, while linking additional verses throughout Scripture which further support the concept of these important five verses in Isaiah.

First Verse: (Isa 8:11) For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

The Lord gives instruction to Isaiah-he is not to walk in the same paths as the people of Judah-that is not to live in the fear of man, but rather to live in “the fear of the Lord”. We will expand on this in a bit in the next few verses of Isaiah chapter 8. A verse from the Psalms and a verse from the Proverbs is where we will begin:
(Psa 32:8) I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

(Pro 1:15) My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your feet from their path,
I came across the following excerpt from The Life Application Study Bible-I thought I would include this:

Sin is enticing because it offers a quick route to prosperity or pleasure and makes us feel like one of the crowd. But when we go along with others and refuse to listen to the truth, our own appetites become our masters, and we'll do anything to satisfy them. Sin, even when attractive, is deadly. We must learn to make choices, not on the basis of flashy appeal or short-range pleasure, but in view of the long-range effects. Sometimes this means steering clear of people who want to entice us into activities that we know are wrong. We can't be friendly with sin and expect our lives to remain unaffected.

The Lord instructs the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 2 in a similar kind of way. Let's take a look at this a comparison.
(Eze 2:7) "But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.

(Eze 2:8) "Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you."

Second Verse: (Isa 8:12) "You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

The people of Judah were living in fear of their enemy-the confederacy of Samaria and Assyria against Judah. The people of Judah were calling this this out as a conspiracy against them, as these were powerful enemies. In the natural the fear was overwhelming. It does not take a vivid imagination to fast forward this thought and apply it to our condition today. Let's bring accurate definition to the term “conspiracy”from the original Hebrew:
From H7194; an (unlawful) alliance: - confederacy, conspiracy, treason.

Perhaps our modern view of “conspiracy” may be slightly different than the above definition. In American pop-culture “conspiracy theorists” are more popular than ever in the media.
(Luk 12:4) "I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do.
Personalities such as Alex Jones, Jessie Ventura and like genre are at the top of their game as broadcasters of “conspiracy”. People are becoming very afraid and agitated as a result.
(Luk 12:5) "But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!
Purchases of firearms and ammunition are at record breaking levels. “Prepping” has been well advertised and has become popular in order to prepare for the coming cataclismic events. We are told we must hoard food and other essentials, and purchase gold.
(1Pe 3:14) But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
(1Pe 3:15) but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
Sadly, few are speaking of preparing one's soul, of being a faithful remnant as the children of God, who will preserve a remnant to fulfill His purposes. Contrary to popular thought, we are not to live in fear of conspiracy, and not to be existing in dread of it. Understandably, this is not an easy call to avoid this madness in our world today.

Third Verse: (Isa 8:13) "It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.

Let's begin with some key word defiitions from the Hebrew. These words seem so simple-yet lets be sure to have full understanding of these words so that we don't miss anything from the Scriptures.
From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: - Jehovah, the Lord. Compare H3050, H3069.

צבאה צבא
tsâbâ' tsebâ'âh
tsaw-baw', tseb-aw-aw'
From H6633; a mass of persons (or figurative things), especially regularly organized for war (an army); by implication a campaign, literally or figuratively (specifically hardship, worship): - appointed time, (+) army, (+) battle, company, host, service, soldiers, waiting upon, war (-fare).

A primitive root; to be (causatively make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonially or morally): - appoint, bid, consecrate, dedicate, defile, hallow, (be, keep) holy (-er, place), keep, prepare, proclaim, purify, sanctify (-ied one, self), X wholly.

מורה מרא מורא
môrâ' môrâ' môrâh
mo-raw', mo-raw', mo-raw'
From H3372; fear; by implication a fearful thing or deed: - dread, (that ought to be) fear (-ed), terribleness, terror.

A primitive root; to awe or (intransitively) to dread; hence to harass: - be affrighted (afraid, dread, feared, terrified), break, dread, fear, oppress, prevail, shake terribly.

Whom shall I fear? Man or God?
(Psa 76:7) You, even You, are to be feared; And who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry?
Whom shall I trust? Man or God? Remember-for some who are unsaved the answer is not quite so obvious.
(Isa 26:4) "Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.

Living in fear of the unknown. Being oppressed by the fear of man is dreadful: to dread; hence to harass: - be affrighted (afraid, dread, feared, terrified), break, dread, fear, oppress, prevail, shake terribly.

From the Gospel of Matthew:
(Mat 10:28) "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Before we continue to verses 14 and 15 I would like to tie all this together with the following excerpt from The Bible Knowledge Commentary:
The Lord had promised to be with His people (Isa_8:10), but many in both Israel and Judah refused to believe He would keep His promise. The Lord warned Isaiah not to be like many of those people (Isa_8:11). Again Isaiah emphasized that the people of Judah should not be afraid of the Aram-Israel alliance or of the Assyrian threat looming on the horizon (Isa_8:12). Rather they were to be afraid of the Lord Almighty. He is the One they should fear and dread (Isa_8:13; cf. fear and dread in Isa_8:12 and see the comments on “fear” in Deu_4:10). The Lord will be a sanctuary, a place of safety, for those who believe in Him, but for those who do not believe Him, He will be the means of destruction (a stone… a rock.… a trap, and a snare). Peter quoted part of Isa_8:14 (1Pe_2:8), referring to those who reject Jesus Christ. Isaiah’s message follows an emphasis in the Old Testament. God promised that those who believe in and obey the Lord will be blessed but those who refuse to believe in and obey Him will be disciplined.

Fourth Verse: (Isa 8:14) "Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Isaiah instructed the house of Judah to look to the salvation of God-or else to look forward to a stone of stumbling. Let's take a look at some Hebrew definitions for select words in this verse:
מקּדשׁ מקדּשׁ
miqdâsh miqqedâsh
mik-dawsh', mik-ked-awsh'
From H6942; a consecrated thing or place, especially a palace, sanctuary (whether of Jehovah or of idols) or asylum: - chapel, hallowed part, holy place, sanctuary.

Probably from H1129 abbreviated; a house (in the greatest variation of applications, especially family, etc.): - court, daughter, door, + dungeon, family, + forth of, X great as would contain, hangings. home[born], [winter]house (-hold), inside(-ward), palace, place, + prison, + steward, + tablet, temple, web, + within (-out).

From the root of H1129 through the meaning, to build; a stone: - + carbuncle, + mason, + plummet, [chalk-, hail-, bead-, sling-] stone (-ny), (divers) weight (-s).

From H5062; a trip (of the foot); figuratively an infliction (of disease): - plague, stumbling.

צר צוּר
tsûr tsûr
tsoor, tsoor
From H6696; properly a cliff (or sharp rock, as compressed); generally a rock or boulder; figuratively a refuge; also an edge (as precipitous): - edge, X (mighty) God (one), rock, X sharp, stone, X strength, X strong. See also H1049.

מכשׁל מכשׁול
mikshôl mikshôl
mik-shole', mik-shole'
Masculine from H3782; a stumblingblock, literally or figuratively (obstacle, enticement (specifically an idol), scruple): - caused to fall, offence, X [no-] thing offered, ruin, stumbling-block.

מקשׁ מוקשׁ
môqêsh môqêsh
mo-kashe', mo-kashe'
From H3369; a noose (for catching animals), (literally or figuratively); by implication a hook (for the nose): - be ensnared, gin, (is) snare (-d), trap.

This Psalm is one that brings comfort in times of trouble:
(Psa 46:1) For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. (Psa 46:2) Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

We cannot earn salvation by following a set of guidelines, rules or traditions. Paul says in Romans that Israel pursuing a law of righteousness-did not arrive at that law-they did not pursue it by faith. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.
(Rom 9:31) but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law. (Rom 9:32) Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone, (Rom 9:33) just as it is written, "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

When people neglect to pursue the things of God they eventually lose their ability to understand the very things of God. And eventually their lives begin to assimilate into the things of the world.

They stumble because they were disobedient to the Word. Certain doom approaches on the horizon.
(1Pe 2:8) and, "A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE"; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.

Some will even claim to have peace apart from God. This is only an illusion, and in reality this is only a trap.
(Psa 69:22) May their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, may it become a trap.
(Psa 11:6) Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Fifth Verse: (Isa 8:15) "Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."

Though many will stumble and fall, there will be those of us who will join the faithful remnant of believers. For those who refuse to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved there willl be terrible times. It will be like the blind leading the blind. One only needs to examine contemporary politics to understand what it is like for the blind to lead the blind.
(Mat 15:14) "Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

Let's look at a few word definitions in the Hebrew:

A primitive root; to fall, in a great variety of applications (intransitively or causatively, literally or figuratively): - be accepted, cast (down, self, [lots], out), cease, die, divide (by lot), (let) fail, (cause to, let, make, ready to) fall (away, down, -en, -ing), fell (-ing), fugitive, have [inheritamce], inferior, be judged [by mistake for H6419], lay (along), (cause to) lie down, light (down), be (X hast) lost, lying, overthrow, overwhelm, perish, present (-ed, -ing), (make to) rot, slay, smite out, X surely, throw down.

A primitive root; to burst (literally or figuratively): - break (down, off, in pieces, up), broken ([-hearted]), bring to the birth, crush, destroy, hurt, quench, X quite, tear, view [by mistake for H7663].

A primitive root; to catch (in a net, trap or pit); generally to capture or occupy; also to choose (by lot); figuratively to cohere: - X at all, catch (self), be frozen, be holden, stick together, take.

Just to read Isaiah 8:15 is interesting, however when I look at the definitions of some of the key words in this verse it seems to add some life to this verse, it seems even more profound.
(Mat 21:44) "And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust."
God offers his mercy and forgiveness to us now. If we instead choose to go our own way God then promises judgment. I for one don't wish to be broken to pieces or scattered as dust-neither I nor my loved ones!

As a final thought today-let's look at this verse from the Gospel of Luke:
(Luk 20:17) But Jesus looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone'?

Quoting Psa_118:22, Jesus showed the unbelieving leaders that even their rejection of the Messiah had been prophesied in Scripture. Ignoring the cornerstone was dangerous. A person could be tripped or crushed (judged and punished). Jesus' comments were veiled, but the religious leaders had no trouble interpreting them. They immediately wanted to arrest him.
